Been gone from the show for awhile. The show has been so boring and I can't stand their darling couple Stephanie and Alex. But just wanted to pop in and ask when Noel Maxam's episodes start airing (or have they)? He's their best director and will tune in to see if he will make any visual changes. He must be a good technical producer but wondering if he could even help steer the writing. Or maybe he's just there to keep the lights on and it will business as usual.

Noel Maxam as co-EP replaced Janet Drucker. Janet announced at the end of March 2025 that she was retiring soon; but, per the articles about some observance or party on-set, her last day was on May 2, 2025. That would put Maxam's full impact officially as co-EP to begin airing in episodes around March-April 2026. That ties in with dates of actors who are coming/going in various spoiler threads (I won't state those names here since this is nonspoiler thread.)

However, Maxam has been active at DAYS for a long time as director and seems to have already had input into the show overall. He did an interview August 7, 2025 in which talks about his overall vision/perception of what DAYS is about. He is asked what prop would you steal from the set if you could take anything. He replies "Stefano's ring" and implies that this symbolizes the show (or something like that).
This can finally be posted in the nonspoiler area, since that ring started being featured in the past few episodes.

The interview was for soaps.sheknows. Their article contains his video interview embedded within it, but you have to disable adblock for the video to appear, and some cannot see it at all.
A small part of his interview is summarized in the text of the article.
https://soaps.sheknows.com/days-of-our-lives/news/791156/august-preview-executive-producer-noel-maxam-interview/

The part about the ring is * only * on the video.
Here's a copy of the full video, to hear what he actually says about the ring:

Dimitri should have been Bo's son. It would have given him far more interesting connections beyond the Dimeras and Leo

You're spreading lies lies and lies

She's probably wondering which dollar store she got her wig from.

Hmmmm... interesting that Noel Maxam's debut is going to coincide with some of the news that we've gotten lately.

I wonder if that means something.

-- I don't blame Jeremy for being upset with Chad for saying he "hoped" Jeremy was innocent. Chad couldn't tell that Jeremy wanted to be believed?

-- If this week's scenes were Billy Flynn's goodbyes, he did a good job with everyone.

-- The Leo confessional to Marlena about Dimitri made me GAG.

-- Those Marlena/Maggie/Julie scenes were hard to watch. Dee Hall looked at Suzanne Rogers one time for 2 seconds. The rest of the time, she acted like she was alone with SSH.

I thought Rogers tried to engage Hall and make the scenes work, but there's so much you can do when one person is behaving like a bitch.

I think Suzanne tries slightly more than Deidre or at least fakes it better. It was less icy the other day, but both actresses were focused on SSH most of the time. The way Deidre and Suzanne were sitting though had them both facing SSH which was probably intentional lol. Must be awkward for SSH lol.

At this point it clearly is what it is. I don't think it's going to change. It's too bad because those scenes and the dialogue were quite nice.

Yes, those scenes were nicely written -- the kind that can be brought home with good acting and giving actors.

Not a single hand touch. That alone would have been moving considering all these 3 characters have been through.

Usually on soaps we have actors turning little or nothing into something special. This was the opposite.

SSH tried nightly, but she came off looking overemotional because the other two were basic lumps.

I didn't know what Suzanne was supposed to do other than what she did. If she looked at Dee any more than she did, the scene would have been even worse.

I have to blame DH for this, and I wish someone on that set would call out her B.S. for the unprofessionalism that it is. I guess she's untouchable at this point.

On the other hand, it does give us something to spill tea about since so much on the show is blah and meh.

You’re 100% correct. It’s definitely on Dee.

I’m sure whatever happened between them was terrible, but at the same time, you have a responsibility to the show, the fans, and especially to all the people you work with to be a professional, regardless of anything.

And it just hurts the show, in general, for anyone to not be.

Okay, folks on various social media platforms are really buzzing about the awkwardness and tension in the scene featuring SSH, DH and SR.

I'm now dying to see for myself.

Is this available anywhere?

I’d imagine that there’s clips on Twitter or somewhere

That's where I looked first, Twitter and Facebook.

Being unable to track it down, I thought I'd ask here. SONers are known to work miracles.😄

Oh, thank you so much. You are an angel!😘

DH seemed somewhat stiff and stilted, but from the way some posters on the internet were talking about the scene, I thought it would be significantly worse than what it was.

The public will likely never know how the alleged feud began (and, really, actors' private lives are none of our business), but it is a shame if BTS tension influences what ends up on screen.
