Javi is too good for Leo. Infact Leo and Dimitri can stay away from the other gays of Salem: Will, Sonny, Paul and Andrew. Put Leo and Dimitri on their own island and leave them there.

I give Days a little grace on this because I assume they didn't think Al Calderon would book another job. They've seen him act.

So I think PP and Dmitri were a bit of a rush job to fill in the gap for the constant screentime Leo needs. And now GR and PP are trying to out camp one another due to boredom or something.

I won't give Days grace on the amount of screen time Leo gets. I honestly wouldn't care if Leo was a very side player on the show. If he was a C character he'd probably not bother me at all.

Days does have a problem with tone. It's either serious or complete idiocy.

It's a very strange feeling to hate a storyline but at the same time look forward to seeing one of the main players in it, so much. 😂😂

Now I 've never been in favor of shows writing to the dictates of fans, but I'm sure in the case of something like Body and Soul, there would have been a lot of negative feedback from research, online etc that the whole thing would have been wrapped up way earlier if the show was only a few months ahead.

Now they are flying blind, without the likes of Bill Bell or Agnes Nixon at the helm.

I think the headwriters mentioned in some interview about it being more difficult now due to their having no idea how viewers feel.

Honestly I watch every single day and forget who's coming and going because it happens 2 years after it's announced so no one should ask me. lol. I don't know how you would use any info considering everything has already been taped. They can't afford that anyhow. I am as excited as Rachel to see if Brady gets a real apartment set.

Sorry y'all, but today was not that good.

There wasn't any stupid, campy crap, but a lot of the unlikable characters were front and center. And it was quite sad that Marlena had to spend her first Valentine's Day without John with Leo, who once again proved what a selfish POS he is. He was so in love in Javi but now he's practically an afterthought for him. And I'm definitely not looking forward to him trying to prove Dimitri's innocence. This character will never not make my skin crawl. He doesn't deserve to be happy.

And honestly, those scenes weren't a good look for Marlena either. Idk what Paula/Jeanne are thinking but Leo will never be the good guy in this storyline, regardless of how it's written. Not only because of the character's history, but also because of the way Greg Rikaart plays it. As always, even when he's trying to be sincere, I feel like he comes off as fake and manipulative. I hope Javi tries to steal Dimitri away from him when he comes back to Salem. Anything would be better than this.

And honestly, who wrote the dialogue in those scenes? The guy who was going to kill millions of people with a damn Peacock, including Leo, isn't capable of holding people captive?? I know Uncle Ron pretty much wanted us to forget Beyond Salem in order to push this utterly repulsive couple, but come on 🖕

Speaking of Dimitri, it was nice to see him again, despite my hatred of the storyline and my dislike of today's episode. And now that he got bail, it would be the perfect time for him to start investigating what Gwen is up to at the lab... and meet Mark.

As for EJ/Gwen, I'm still not really a fan of the two of them together but their scenes today didn't annoy me as much as they usually do.

And yeah, Kristen is a terrible mother. And Brady giving in to her crap was just sad.

Is there a chance Deidre adores Greg so much on set and off the writers were asked to put them in scenes? I hate that idea but it's obvious some of that is true. It's ridiculous. She has more or about the same amount of scenes with Leo than Belle, Brady, Johnnie and so on. It's ridiculous!! Brady didn't even have a few scenes with Marlena when John died or at least as John died. Criminal.

It's clear Deidre loves Greg and working with him. I do think it's possible she pushes for scenes with him. At the same time, the show has consistently told us what great friends they are in both regimes. They are less campy now, but it appears to be a relationship everyone (but the audience lol) likes.

I might believe it a little more if they said he reminds her of Samantha, as she was meant to be disturbed, wasn't she (although I know she didn't act like Leo).
