Episodes S4 E241 – 247
The eeriness of the Jack storyline, its semi-conclusion and the revelations coming from it are riveting. The realisation that it was not Jake's father but in fact his uncle who molested Jake is outstanding. It's purely classic television storytelling. Something like this would never air because Bradley Bell does not have the balls to tell it. Plus, he'd have to acknowledge sexual assault and given his history of that, that's not going to happen.
Very interesting that in all of the time Spectra was on the canvas, they only had Sally's office but seemed to create one for Felicia. Even it took a bit for Clark to get one. Very interesting.
Oh, wow. Sally catching Stephanie at the Spectra location. Imagine, out of everyone, that is who catches her?! Wow.
Keeping Brooke's ex, Dave, would have made sense in the Stephanie storyline instead of the new lieutenant.
Seeing Donna once again in the orbit of Bill Spencer really makes me believe that the affair storyline between Bill Jnr and Brooke years later would have hit home more with Donna. But it also drives home how bad of a recast Jennifer Gareis really has been.
Oh! Temporary Donna Logan! Mary Sheldon was a great pinch-hitter. Kind of wish she had stayed or come back on when Carrie Mitchum was not in the role. Reminds me a bit of younger, brunette Susan Marie Snyder. Good casting.
Felicia and Jake have cute potential. A lot of potential there. It is a shame they were not developed more over the years. I guess something transpired. But Colleen Dion and Todd McKee work together as scene partners.

Macy and Thorne already on shaky ground? Typical soap marriage. Surprised Macy did not break out in song about it.
Nope, instead, we get a lonesome scene in the next episode of them both singing some sappy love song around a piano in the Forrester parlour. Spare me, PLEASE! Five more f**king years of this foolishness. I know it. I will say that I much prefer Bobbie Eakes as Macy over Krystal, and I didn't even hate Krystal.
Sally trying to relocate Stephanie... okay? And not her family! But that scene with the phones was hilarious to me.
Stephanie being told who she is is kind of heartbreaking, because she really does not want to leave Ruthanne behind, and that is so admirable. It really is. Plus, Adam! Susan Flannery and Rod Loomis had some real solid chemistry.
Well, look who it is: the introduction of the middle-part Brooke! She means business.
Damn, they are really laying it on thick between Brooke and Ridge, which is kind of... disappointing and also shows some insecurities for Brooke where her marriage is concerned. Plus, Taylor may say she is a strong, independent woman, but the way in which she is feeling and talking about Ridge says otherwise.
So many sets⏤from Bill's and Eric's penthouses to Taylor's apartment, etc.⏤should have remained in use. They feel so natural and would be amazing to see modern updates to.
Felicia's line was very interesting. I liked it. Fun just like her.
Things are definitely moving and shifting between the fourth and fifth seasons. We will see how it goes tomorrow.
