I can't believe it's the show's 60th Anniversary. Sadly, the last time I watched was for John's funeral.  I didn't really care for it. All it did was highlight how budget-challeneged the show is, with everyone sitting in a set with ultra- fake shrubbery, and especially with there being no old music cues. Has anything interesting happened on the show since, or are they just still spinning their wheels? i don't remember a time when my interest in the show has been this low..

Did anyone else catch the Santa Barbara shout out in Friday's episode when EJ was on the phone and thanked Lionel Lockridge and his wife, Augusta? :)

That was the best part of the episode. I was thrilled at the Santa Barbara shout out.

Well, I don't think they are going on brunch dates or anything, but I think they at least try to pretend everything is good publicly.  It would help if Deidre didn't actively look like she wants to murder Suzanne in scenes although they rarely share space so it's not a huge deal.😂

That made me laugh out loud because it's true.

This is messy of me, but I saw the photos and I was like Suzanne and Deidre are standing next to each other! Has there been a thawing?

Given Suzanne's recent experience with colon cancer, perhaps Deidre felt a slight thawing was appropriate, though her shoulder is decidedly turned to keep Suzanne out of her eyeline...

Today was a love letter to the Days universe. A very well done Horton-centric anniversary episode.

And welcome back, Marie and Mike!

It really is wonderful that Days was able to bring back the only surviving actor from the original main cast to be a part of the 60th anniversary celebrations. To have her/Marie be a part of this just feels right. I really appreciated the trip down memory lane as well, complete with some flashbacks that I don't think we've ever seen before. I know I haven't. And I'll be honest, I'm a little stunned because some of these flashbacks were some that I've wanted to see for years!

And while I don't dislike the idea of Julie and Marie revealing everything that happened between Bill/Laura/Mickey to Jeremy, you'd think Jeremy would've known everything already lol but I wouldn't mind Days tying this reveal to Jeremy's current storyline somehow.

And, Mike finally got to have scenes with his son! I enjoyed the scenes that they had discussing Jeremy's past and how he's been reformed. I feel that it really was the advice that Jeremy needed. And I like that Mike was there to comfort Jennifer and Chad.

Speaking of Jennifer, while she was quite douchy today, I still understand where she's coming from. I like that she was able to vent to Kayla about everything that's been happening with Chad. I feel that scenes like that help us get a better understanding of why Jennifer is acting this way, as opposed to having her just be like a hateful shrew without any character development lol I'm looking forward to seeing what happens next, especially after the way that today ended. It's good drama.

And I'm glad Thomas is going to be OK.

LMAOOOOOO. I can't even remember what the source of beef was. A lot of these veteran DAYS feuds (Kristian Alfonso, Chappell, etc.) make any drama at GH look like preschool shít.

Haha!  There have been a few rumors throughout the years about the DH/SR issue, but all I can say is the dynamic changed once Deidre/Drake returned in 2011.  It's a shame because those two actually did seem like they were close offscreen and it's sad Marlena/Maggie aren't able to be there for one another as longtime, dear friends on the show.

As far as Chappell/KA, they both seem unlikeable to me lol.  KA is just less messy than CC and her wine fueled rants.

At the end of the day these women are way too old to be that petty, but I lowkey find it hilarious.

Maree is not "my" Marie -- that would be the dearly departed Lanna Saunders -- but I'm awfully glad she continues to pop up. And I'm thrilled that today featured some clips I've never seen. I loved action hero Tom Horton breaking the glass doors into the office where Bill and Mickey were struggling, and seeing a young Susan Flannery.

They were indeed close at one time – Suzanne played herself in Dee's "Never Say Never" TV movie, supporting Dee on her surrogacy journey.

Nice to see the rarely seen John Lupton in a flashback as Tommy. Also, we just missed out on seeing Kathie Lee Gifford in that Mickey flashback. She was the Brookville Desk Nurse in that episode, but Judith Jett as Brookville Lab Technician # 1 was the one in the flashback.

That Mickey/Lab Tech scene happened at the end of 2553, which I don't have. But here's a page from 2554, where Mickey is having a nightmare and hears the lab tech's voice mocking him:

The difference in their take on the character was fun to see.  Maree certainly played Marie with more spunk and agency than woe-begotten Lanna's Marie with her hard to imagine off-screen romance with Alex Marshall.  Lanna looks more comfortable under a wimple than Maree. 😎

Titan should sell whatever she's done to herself.  To think of the personal tragedies that she's been through, and yet to see her glow up, is remarkable.  I can only hope she feels as good inside.

@JAS0N47 - what a clever effect to have the characters on in closeup, simply shot on stools, for Micky's flashback during the accident.  It is a smart, but cheap, device to show his memories coming back to him.  I was struck by the fact that the idea for the camera shot was written in the script, and not determined by the director during that day's shoot.  I like the diplomacy of writing that a shot was "called for."

@AbcNbc247 re: Jeremy's prior knowledge, given Johnny's recent story, I think we can now assume that most Salem-ites are unaware of the often extraordinary issues surrounding their conception and birth.  And, they don't Google themselves.

@carolineg I had hoped that the actress's personal issues were long enough ago to be resolved.  But, I thought it was a little messy that Suzanne specifically called out castmates and her hairdresser in the SOD article on her cancer treatment that she considered family, and Dee was not mentioned.  To be fair, it was a very slight dig, and there are tons of others she didn't name.  Yet, it was a notable omission given that she was specific enough to name the actors who play Xander and Sarah, as well as SSH. So...

That’s ok. For the longest time, I only knew Maree as the mile high club lady from The Wedding Singer 😂😂😂

Closer to home, I doubt Holly and Tate know the extraordinary issues surrounding their gestations and births.

To be fair, I only know that I was born during a snowstorm because the snowstorm was a historic event.  I don't think I ever would googled the events of the day otherwise.  Kids are fairly self-centered, and rarely think about life before they existed until their frontal lobes are fully myelinated.

GREAT flashbacks on today’s episode! Glad they are slowly opening up the vault!
I sent a message to Maree Cheatham on social media telling her how great it was to see her again.

Jennifer is still a hypocritical bitch

The Hortons can do horrible things and be forgiven but anyone else who does mistakes cannot I guess

Plus the accident was all on Thomas
