  • Samantha, I am ready to strangle you. Just because you are grounded because of your piss-poor decisions does not mean Tyrell needs to be dogged on like that. Grow up and get over yourself.

  • Dana is really laying it on thick with Laura. She cannot help herself, can she?

  • I appreciate Carlton being respectful of Nicole and her space, but it is also nice to see that he is not just disappearing altogether from her life.

  • Dana is slapping it on even thicker with insinuations of what she believes is happening with Vernon and Sharon and how nice Anita was to give her well wishes for Peaches. That is class personified.

  • It is so cute to see Carlton and Nicole reminisce on prior Winterfests. So cute. The chemistry is real there, and if it is not pursued as a romantic relationship, I am happy they have it as lifelong friends/co-workers.

  • I find it so cute how into Jessica Tyrell happens to be, and I appreciate that Bradley is open to hearing Tyrell's feelings and actually hearing them.

  • Good on you, Laura, for putting Dana on notice and standing up for yourself.

  • Not only do I appreciate that Eva is aware of her decisions (or lack thereof), but I appreciate Anita acknowledging the influence that Dana has had over her as well. There is growth there.

  • Dana, you are a vile, disgusting human being. This is beyond psychological warfare on Laura. This is downright inhumane.

  • Damn. Nicole has teas for everything. I do not drink tea, but one with lavender? That already soothes my mind, body, and soul.

Notes:

  • ANOTHER breakdown by writer2? Really? Was no one else available? Poor Brown and Danielle Paige got saddled with some absolute garbage this week.

  • They really need to stop laying it on so thick to insinuate that Vernon is cheating on Anita. It is becoming more and more obvious that is not happening.

Ugh, that ending was eye-rolling... it's just icky what they're trying to make us believe with Vernon/Sharon.

It's really weird. So much seductive dialogue over singing lessons.

-- The writing for Samantha is off. I don't expect her to agree with Tyrell on everything and to give him hugs all the time, but the constant snark doesn't work. These are siblings who supposedly have a bond, right? Then why does she throw digs at him repeatedly and throws him under the bus in front of their parents.

-- Scenes with Smitty and "the kids" are great, but again, the writing....oof. Tyrell asks if Jessica can join them for Thanksgiving dinner, and that turns into a big thing? Yes, discuss it with Martin, but why act like it's some big deal, especially with Samantha weighing in that there's possible sex involved?

-- More weird talk about Tyrell attending Banneker. Why would a parent be so shocked that their child wouldn't focus on only ONE school? Everyone on this show acts like the only school in the universe is Banneker.

I do think they need to introduce a solid youth scene. But Tyrell, Jessica and ol' Sammy (who sadly should be recast*) are not enough.

Hopefully they have seen the response to Donnell and will bring him back posthaste. I'd be extremely into a serious romance SL with him and someone, moreso than Ty and Jessica though I do like them.

(*Alternately send Samantha off to college or boarding school, then bring the actress back in a bit and let the age be more indeterminate when you do. Soap fans are very forgiving about that.)

This is a great idea!
