I can't believe the gall of Leslie, but I love it! Makes great TV.

I hope they move on from this Ashley/Derek story about having difficult adjusting to living together. I get it. It's a thing. However, the way it's being written is boring. It should have been written for comedy getting on each others nerves. Maybe it would have lightened both characters and made them people to root for.

Okay. What happened to Tomas? He's improved so much this week! He is still a little dry sometimes, but I stick with him for now. I enjoy hearing his backstory and bonding with Eva.

Then, of course, Eva just rocks everything.

  • Pack up your crap, Derek. And take that hideous chair with you, but don't throw out the food! We know you have a particular habit of doing that.
  • Anita being nervous about Tracey's arrival is cute, and I love that Vernon joined her. I'm just hoping Sharon will join them soon.
  • Tomas and Eva keep getting ... teased! I appreciate him filling her in on what happened with Dana and Katherine.
  • Dana, what in the world are you working at?! If I saw you with your evil smiles in my hospital room as I woke up, I'd be questioning what nightmare I was existing within.
  • I appreciate the continued evolution of Tomas' backstory and where he's come from. It sounds familiar to what I've heard from others, so it's nice that true history can be nodded to.
  • Derek, there is no way in Hell Jacob and/or Naomi want your stank-gross behind crashing on their couch.
  • Katherine better be careful; she keeps intercepting Dana at all of these places, and if she is not careful, she may become the primary target of her plans.
  • Dante Greene? Is he the Barry Gordy Jnr of the story? I appreciate that Tracy has some genuine feelings towards Anita and their past history. But I appreciate that she is at least open-minded to reuniting with Anita on a personal basis; it'll be interesting to see how Sharon reacts when she arrives (I am guessing).
  • Not the wig washing. Dana's personalities and wigs must be an ongoing gag. But good on Eva for calling her out about being falsely accused of running Laura off of the road.
  • I've said it once, and I will say it again: Katherine should be a detective, because her instincts are sharper than sharp.

Notes:

  • Can we stop having the male actors on this show sitting on tables? It's such a pet peeve of mine. Like, chairs exist for your backside to sit on, not tables where we EAT!
  • The top they have Tamara Tunie (Anita) in would annoy the frick out of me if that flower kept hitting me in my chin. I'd be pulling that crap off immediately.

The show is excellent in my opinion.  There are a couple of less-than-stellar actors and a couple of bad storylines, but otherwise it's awesome and I watch many of the episodes twice.  However, episode #55 from May 19 was really bad, which is where you popped into the thread, but it was the *first* really bad episode.  So 54 great episodes out of a total of 55 episodes is pretty good, in my opinion!  I haven't seen today (#56) yet, but I hear it's good.  Will watch in a couple of hours.

Leslie's outfit is giving evil Foxy Brown/Coffy energy. She's only drawing more attention to herself by going around trying to imply that Eva caused the accident. Also, I feel like Laura was slightly clueless and not acting afraid enough. She has never seen Leslie before so it seems like a more frightened reaction was an order considering a stranger randomly showed up in her room.

It's not all bad, or bad at all. I actually really like BTG and look forward to it every day. Yesterday's show was awful, though. So many things were bad or off that I had to vent LOL

Haven't watched today's show yet, so I hope I can be nice later LOL

    • -- More bad writing. We've been told how Derek takes care of his vehicle. A guy who knows how to detail a car/truck would not be so stupid as to use steel wool on stainless. -- Oh, and here's more bad writing. Tomas said he was bumped from a case by another lawyer and was going home to work. Haven't we been told he's on the partner track? There's no way he'd be bumped on a case.

    • Watched another batch of episodes.  Ann Williams is just sensational. How this woman did not win an Emmy I will not an understand. Her confrontation with Eliot over April's fall was just spectacular. April's pregnancy storyline is a bit eh. I still don't care for Draper. April and Draper just don't it for me. There was a scene between Logan and April where all was forgiven about the custody for Jamie and that was a bit odd. Did Slesar just get tired of that plot point? Seems like they may be setting up a Logan/April/Draper triangle. Cliff now works as an assistant D.A.? Was this always the case? It seemed like he worked for Logan's campaign and then he worked with Deborah and Steve. Nice to see Cliff do more than pester Deborah. Deborah and Owen have no chemistry but the inevitable Deborah/Nola confrontation will be fun. Cliff is still sideline and Steve is still wearing low-cut shirts. Nola and Owen has great confrontation about Deborah. First-rate writing and acting. Paige and Brian are still mooning over each other. I'm enjoying the setup for the film.  Miles, Nicole, Geraldine, Steve, and Nancy have been pretty much MIA in these episodes.
    • Marquita Goings (Hayley) played a younger version of Debbi Morgan's character in this project: https://www.imdb.com/title/tt15364098/ I agree that June sounds like Hayley, and Tracy looks like Debbi Morgan!
    • OMG, Derek is BtG's version of an overgrown frat boy!
    • Same. I don't hate him for it, but Ashley ain't doing him any favors.
    • exactly!  https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Boston_Strong
    • Ashley's whole reaction has been embarrassing. To the point, I don't understand how Andre isn't completely put off by this behavior. But then again, Andre was out here breaking down with Ashley about this whole situation. *Screams into a pillow* It's so embarrassing!  Derek gives off dumb jock vibes. He seems so unaware and confused by everything. Like how at your big age don't you think scrubbing something like stainless steel with a scouring pad is a bad idea? And why would you think to ask a married buddy to sleep on his couch. Both this characters are insufferable. Andre right up there with them, but I think that's more a me thing.
    • I think at this point I'd rather see Ashley recast more than Derekt. They need someone more charismatic and authentic, who doesn't come off as "acting," especially if they have to carry this horrible writing.
    • No wonder I always thought the actress looked familiar! She WAS on a soap! Just a bit slow. Never realized it was Elizabeth Savage in the Hunter appearance!
