Apart from his obsession with Stephanie's soft core porn book of course.

I can't help but think that this was a Ron/Jamey plot, that Paula/Jeanne just decided to run with.

Hopefully, it'll be written better than what we've had to endure previously.

Kate is now running the Brady Pub?

Roman runs it, and she helps.

However, and I can't stress this enough, I absolutely despise whenever he calls Philip, 'Phil.' It just itches my brain in all the wrong ways

Interesting.

I felt a similar way every time Ben called Charlie, 'Chuck' 😂😂

This show is miles better under the new writers.

It's really a condemnation of Carlivati, because he had the characters and history to write good soap. Instead, he turned it into a joke and a farce.

I've heard some people says DAYS is now "too talky." Miss me with that stupid analysis.

I am so happy now. Reminds me of the 80s show I loved. Ron really did the cast and fans dirty.

The only people complaining are those who only knew Ron and his whiplash plot driven stories

Gone are the days where at least once every week, a character would pull a gun on someone (Ron you really turned gun violence into a joke on this show)

Also, someone knocked over the head (usually in the D Mansion) and imprisoned in the secret tunnel room or whatever it was. I swear that must have happened at least a dozen times the last few years, and each time it drove me crazy!

One of the things that I found unnecessary and a bit disturbing about Ambitions was that in almost every episode someone was holding or shooting a gun.  Jamey and Ron seem to have the same fetish.

So, Roman admitted that everything he did was to protect Johnny. I like that. It adds another dynamic to this storyline. And it’s also a much better use of the character of Roman. He’s been stuck in the Pub for too long lol I’m also really liking the way that Roman and Kate’s relationship has been written lately.

As for Josh Taylor’s voice… no comment 😂😂😂

And speaking of relationships, I’ve also been seeing improvements in the relationships between Johnny and Paulina as well. I enjoyed their scenes today. They really feel more like an actual mother in law and son in law. I’m cringing a little at the way that Paulina would’ve been written had Ron stayed on a little longer. This type of writing is the exact thing that the character of Paulina needed, especially for a storyline like this.

I am a little intrigued with the idea of EJ and Xander going head to head over buying the hospital too, mostly because of how it could drive other storylines, couples, etc.,like EJ and Belle. Him basically using Belle as his own personal fixer, both with Johnny and the hospital board could lead to something interesting happening in the future. And Philip, doing whatever he can in order to get back in Xander’s good graces is a good addition to this storyline as well.

Btw, I don’t dislike it at all but I still can’t believe that they’re

Spoiler

Bringing back Kevin after all these years

And yeah, sorry, I know that Days means well but I think they’re making a little too much out of this Xander/Felicity thing.

But Xander and Sarah were sweet today. I’m looking forward to seeing everything between them get blown to hell.

Seriously, one of the worst, if not the worst, team in soap history.

I swear this entire time I thought Roman knew about the Phillip/Vivian letter lol.  I do like how mature Roman/Kate are as a couple.  It makes me sad the new writers never got a chance to write for John/Marlena.

I agree with @AbcNbc247 that the Felicity stuff is a bit after school special-y.  I am pretty sure that (most) of the viewing audience is aware that a grown man should not be shouting at any teenage girl especially one with disabilities.  Just let Xander apologize and move on.

Linsey Godfrey was in her Sarah baby voice mode today and it irritates me to no end.   I know it's a cutesy thing her and Xander do but it's annoying.

Bringing Kevin back is strange, but I do like the use of history.  I do think Rex probably could have been used instead, but whatever.  I don't care about Rex much either lol.

I'm surprised Philip hasn't teamed up with Shawn-D to steal the potion, they seem to have forgotten that they grew up together

I would love if Sarah were already pregnant and then, even with the reveal that she knew about the letter, that she and Xander would work on things to keep their family intact. But I fear that time is running out. Whatever Philip is doing is probably going to mess up everything.

I do like that Kayla and Sarah mentioned the Horton legacy with the hospital and that Kayla would much prefer Xander financing it over EJ. Xander is suddenly Horton adjacent. Belle is as usual a massive hypocrite whining about 'everything' Xander has done to her family when EJ raped her sister, kept her cancer ridden toddler from her, helped Nicole keep the baby she had stolen from Sami for a year, shot her dad in the head, and as recently as last year railroaded her innocent teen nephew into prison where he was beaten up. Sure, Xander shot Brady and Marlena but both of them seem to be over it.

Cat should have just graciously accepted Xander's apology. I actually like that he treated Felicity like anybody else and did not coddle her. I hope we see him apologizing though. I wonder if Cat knows that Xander shot their granddad Kon dead last year? She might like him better if she knew. I wonder who is calling her? My money is on Gwen for some reason. I feel like Cat and Chad will get comfy and then we will find out Abby is out there and Gwen has had her. EJ and Cat were far more palatable than Chad and Cat, but EJ makes everybody easier to tolerate.

Roman and Kate vs Johnny and Paulina... not sure which were more boring. I guess I'll go with Roman and Kate because he speaks so darn slowly now.

Philip is entertaining the heck out of me. I hope he ends up the hero who saves Bo. I think it would be hysterical if he managed to get his hands on the Versovix and EJ ends up buying a useless money pit of a hospital.

I'm glad the truth is all out regarding Roman and Kate's secrets from each other, and also happy Roman didn't make much of the letter forgery, because why would he even care? They are a good solid couple. However, not to be mean, when Roman had his little flashback at the DiMera mansion he seemed more like an old man that was lost. How wonderfully aggravating that we still don't know what the hell happened with Johnny the night EJ was shot. I can't wait to find out.

I've my feelings clear on Paulina, but she was definitely written much more adult and Jackée even seemed a bit toned down, for the better. Nothing boring about either scenes for me.

I like the little drama between Xander and Cat, for the newness of the interaction alone. AnnaLynne McCord is much better at material where she's not acting dementedly lovesick. Seeing that side to Cat was integral to remembering she's not a moron, and I am definitely intrigued by the heck could be calling her.

Kevin Lambert returning is a cute little surprise. I never watched Chadwick Hopson in the role though, was he any good?

Xander was the bigger person apologizing to Cat when he didn't do anything wrong.  he wasn't yelling at Felicity whatsoever, he was asking if she possibly had given them the wrong order by mistake.  He was trying to get to the bottom of what was going on, but Chad/Cat were trying to white knight Felicity even though Felicity was being treated just like anyone else in that situation.   She was the one to bring the order out to them, and usually the person that brings the order out is the one that puts the order together.

I'm still getting a read on the Cat character.   I think she seems to work well when interacting with everyone other than Chad.   Perhaps the new writers can move Cat out of Chad's orbit into another orbit.

Paulina has been written quite well the few times she's been on since the writer change.  I think Jackee is enjoying the new writing.. you can tell when she's on screen.

Xander was screaming at Felicity.  He did do something wrong.  Felicity was clearly upset by it and Cat/Chad told him to stop.  That's fair.  No one deserves to be yelled at their job-and even I think this plot point is too preachy.  It's not acceptable behavior for anyone to do that.

Co-sign, 100% on this one. Xander was entirely in the wrong.
