So, aside from the history, why did we wait for Jonathan Jackson to come back? The past two episodes have been especially painful to watch him "act" through his scenes. Greg Vaughan would have done 100 times better than whatever we've been forced to endure in watching.

I thought Lucky’s scenes today were excellent.

JJ played the confusion and guilt while Liz told him he’s not a viable donor well and then the heartbreak while visiting Lulu and having to introduce himself to Rocco then having to tell him and Dante the news, man I felt bad for everybody involved that was good acting from all three actors. They wrong as hell for having the camera pan to Sam after she and Dante told Rocco they’d stop at anything to find Lulu a donor btw.

Lucky’s meltdown at Bobbie’s was good too though him making all the customers leave so he could crash out was hilarious, why does Carly’s staff never call her when something goes down at her establishments?

Speaking of Carly they finally got Laura Wright dressed in something sexy instead of them ugly ass blazers I enjoyed all her scenes with Lucas, Felicia, Holly and the awful PI lurking in the background and I’m happy we’re getting Carly and Brennan tomorrow.

Alexis agreeing to Martin no Tad going after Sonny to get her outta jail is funny. I like their chemistry together.

Mac being so against Holly and Robert is OD, they are all too damn old to be cockblocking like this.

As someone who enjoys Jason and Anna I liked the stuff with Brennan forcing them to recap the caper and her refusing to convince Jason to join the WSB. Finola is going to find a way to bring emotion every episode regardless if the script even calls for it and I love her for that. Curious how her and Jason talking about the kiss will go but either way I want their dynamic to keep going.

If Violet the Brat will be shipped off with Finn, I don't know why we're getting these scenes at all. Wouldn't it be easier to just say at some point that Finn is out of rehab and Violet left to live with him?

I haven't heard anything about the show bringing Finn back, either, but we all know Frank has some deep love for Michael Easton. If Violet is just some prop to give Chase and Brook Lynn something to do, that says everything about Chase and Brook Lynn.

Disagree completely. Jonathan Jackson is acting the hell out of what they're writing for him since Lucky returned to Port Charles.

I would assume we are getting these scenes because Frank loves Jophielle Love and thinks she's adorable.  I can't account for his taste lol.  I also think it's to move forward BLQ and Chase into parenthood.  What else is that couple going to do?  Both actors appear to have firm beliefs about modesty or something.  I wouldn't hate if the show had BLQ/Chase/Violet all move to wherever Finn is and they recast Brook Lynn with someone willing to play the part appropriately either.

Has Mac always been this anti-Holly?

As for Lulu, I think we know who’s gonna end up being the donor, which is ridiculous. There’s no reason why it can’t be Lucky.

They did the same crap with Willow when she had cancer. Is that what’s gonna happen with Lulu? She’s gonna be  “about to die” for like a year, until some random character ends up saving her?

BITD, they were paired or teased together, so no.  It was in 1992 or something so eons ago and I don't think it actually went anywhere, but they used to be close.  She helped him when Mac first took over custody of Robin when Anna/Robert "died"

I love Greg, but he is nowhere near the actor that JJ is. And he was routinely outshined by everyone around him when asked to play drama while on GH. He’s a lovely guy, has a real soulful quality, but came across on GH as mostly a nice, very attractive man. There were not many layers. I have seen him on DAYS and he does seem more at ease acting there, very natural with his screen partners there.

It’s the Marcus Coloma vs Adam Huss thing to me. Coloma was more popular, and Huss only had a handful of episodes and I felt he acted circles around Coloma’s Nikolas. I would rather see Genie, Becky, Dom, etc in scenes with someone that is capable of matching their level.

When the show lets him have some fun, he still has that Robert twinkle in his eyes. But he is older now. I appreciate that he isn’t afraid to look his age.

While everyone keeps talking about how great she looks, I see how much effort it clearly takes for her to perform. She used to seem effortless. Really makes me feel for everyone that still suffers from Long COVID. I am glad she and Tristan are still allowed and capable of dropping in to the show.

I just don't know if I see Lucas as a larger part of a Spencer rebuild. The Spencer he was most tied to is gone and he isn't going to have any meaningful role in the lives of those who are left. I think his return is lip service.

Thanks. I may be too cynical, but it all feels very thrown together to me.

I think Frank will keep her on any way he can, although he did eventually write out Spencer and Emma, so he may just be delaying the inevitable.

Now THAT was good. Outside of the Violet drama, lol. There was so much going on that I couldn't help, but not be doing toooo much side stuff to simply watch.

For the first time, the actor playing Gio showed some sign of improvement. I actually rewind. For a very brief moment, Gio had potential when he and Trina got into it over Ava and Sonny. Such an organic conflict to put between them in the event that the show tried to pair them given her loyalty to Ava and his loyalty to Sonny. And the actor actually came alive when he showed his disdain for Ava. Soooo of course, Joss...who said she was going to stay out of things involving Ava/Trina...had to step in and it was too quickly resolved. WHY???

Well...Van as Lucas WAS different. His Lucas and Ryan Crane's Lucas are definitely night and day. But you know what? I liked his version of Lucas. I didn't find any of his scenes with Carly jarring because as long as I've been watching on and off GH, one consistency has been Carly's relationship with Lucas whether the writers played it frequently or not. It rang true he would go see her. And LW and VH had good chemistry. As for him and Brad...hmmm we will see.

Trina's Two Mommys having her back? YES, PLEASE. Heck, if this leads to Portia's villain origin story I would be down for it. Who better than Ava? lol.

What is everyone talking about? Judging from the change of clothes...Lucky finally took a shower. And sorry, he looked good to me.

That said, I zoned out once I saw it was Sonny talking about parenting to Lucky. SONNY? REALLY? No, thanks.

So far, JJ has not be bothering me, he definitely has presence. What is letting him down so far has been the writing.

It really hasn't been. First delaying his return to Port Charles. And now that he's back...it's not digging deep enough. Because I feel the beats are being played, but...*shrugs* I mean hes's been gone since 2015/6 so there's a lot that can be mined with folks.

    • Hahaha, dead. I still remember when Sharon threw Nikki's past in her face "you started on a pole and ended in a bottle". We saw Nikki go from climbing the pole to the OG ho turned housewife then snooty lady of the manor and now messy matriarch/grande dame.

Very cheesy cover, but she got some good names to give quotes on how great the book is: Susan Flannery, Alec Baldwin (random), Pamela Long, Paul Rauch, Robert Newman, TV Guide, Soaps In Depth, and others. I'll have to let y'all know what I think when I get around to reading it haha.
    • I started trying to get back into the show to see Mishael’s return and it’s been challenging. Especially with Days, GH, and BTG all being so entertaining at the same time. Squeezing in something as boring and anti soap opera as current Y&R just isn’t a fun chore.

    • Or, I suspect, so we can be surprised a few days from now when we learn that it was actually Ava who told Ric. I'm betting that those scenes last week where Nina told Ava about Michael and Sasha's hookup served a dual purpose.
    • WE KNOW BETTER. Everything they learned, they learned from the bottle (and the pole).

    • Yes, she’s spoken about her love for the Supremes and Motown in the past. Once they gave Anita a girl group background, it was inevitable that it would be inspired by the Supremes in some way. They are still by far the most influential girl group in history and their story is rich in drama (hence why we also have Dreamgirls). The way they were marketed and their cross-cultural pop appeal set a standard for almost every female pop act that followed. The Supremes (when led by Diana) scored 12 #1 Hot 100 hits in just over 5 years from 1964-1969 - that’s STILL a record for any American act to this day.
    • Mm-hmm; she even stated this story is Supremes-inspired, and that Anita was storied after Diana Ross, in terms of her role within the group.
    • MVJ herself used to be in a real-life girl group called the Articulettes.  MVJ wrote two songs for Deniece Williams.  I think it's interesting that Anita's maiden name is Williams - not uncommon but still.    MVJ said in interviews that Diana Ross is one of the inspirations for Anita, in  Variety and L.A.Times
