As much as I thought this: I don't think they would have cast someone, especially of Alexa Havins' caliber and name, just for them not to have chemistry. Know who would've had undeniable chemistry with him? Marci Miller.

It does feel like a missed oppurtunity, but at the end of the day I am not going to complain.

I was thinking that too.  It's nice to get a "name", but the most important thing is that the actress has chemistry with DZ.  I am sure AH does, but they did hire Rylan and she had very little chem with him.

Never change lol!  Marci probably would have had fire chem with DZ though.

It's funny, Mulcahey gave Sonny an out for doing horrible things; he wasn't on his meds. Where's Sonny's out for killing a fed in cold blood, someone many of his old friends cared about? Or are we to think what he did wasn't so horrible?

From what came before and after, Mulcahey's months were really good. The show was feeling so stupid, and he gave it some intelligence. Now it's back to feeling really stupid.

Alexa Havins never had a chemistry problem at AMC so I’d be surprised if that ended up being an issue. They are fools not to be playing a triangle with her and KeMo on opposite ends though, they were top of the pack when it came to sexiest women on daytime in the 00s.

I wish they had kept him as a consultant or something. Van Etten does not do good long term story beat play and misses obvious layups. I still can’t believe no one in production thought to make who shot Jagger a mystery, this could have played out all Fall

I could not care less about Sidwell/Carlo Rota, no matter how charming he was on 24 20+ years ago. The character is not that interesting. If they try to make him the new Cyrus hanging around forever or make him Eva LaRue's ex or something I am just going to go back under my covers lol. This show has one trick and one trick only.

    • Haha. The fact that I stopped regularly viewing at the same time and know what you are talking about is chef's kiss.    I'm slowly bingewatching Nurse's Ball Week. But it's slow for me because a lot of the same tics and writing flaws for me that made me throw up my hands is still evident *cough*CVE*cough* Thankfully, there are some things I like also and from a glance in the GH May Thread, it seem like it had a good Sweeps with good fallout. And do I even need to mention Nina finally slapping the taste out of Carly's mouth? See? Regardless of her flaws, I do enjoy Korte-headed episodes over CVE-headed episodes because they always seem to have more emotional resonance to long-time fans.
    • And that charity does still get mentioned from time to time. I want to say the last time was some time this year, too.
    • Oh, no. Vernon has definitely had his moments.   Choose silence anyone?
    • Search YT for Edwyn Sanchez, he posted an AI enhanced episode of ATWT and it is beautiful.
    • That's so funny, that's how I listen to Montecito - while walking my dog. I'll have to check out Forever & a Day.
    • I need to listen! Forever & a Day was a fun soapy podcast to have available when I walked the dog.
    • A few years ago, Devon and Nick started a charity organization together, I think it's for housing in the community.
    • I’m hoping to start getting to know Vernon better this month. He’s really only been a bunch of noble and good tropes so far. I don’t want him to be taken down the way Ted has been, but it seems he was a long-running Senator and no matter what party you are, lasting longer than twenty years means you’re looking out for you (and not who you’re supposed to be looking out for) most of all. I want to get to know both Vernon and Anita beyond their Dupree posturing. Clifton Davis can sleepwalk handling the kind of material Christopher Bernau and David Lewis handled and I’d like to see more than just a saint.
    • I thought Emily/Hal was a really interesting pairing. And I think KMH played that version of Emily very well! It might not have been what people wanted from Emily, and the writing got pretty gross at the end, but I thought she embodied that character effectively.
    • Don't know if this exactly fits here, but it is connected: Does this abandoned building look familiar? It is one of those explorer videos - and the outside may look VERY familiar if one watched GH in the '70s and '80s!
