RIP. He looked so thin when he came back from his extended time off awhile back, I figured something was wrong. He seemed like a terrific guy in real life, my thoughts go out to his natural family and his DAYS family.

WHA???  Talk about "out of left field"?  I didn't even know the man was sick!

OMG.  I'm just...stunned.  I can't even begin to imagine how this will affect DAYS, and affect Deidre Hall/Marlena in particular.

RIP DH, and may God be with his loved ones always.  He DEFINITELY will be missed.

Ken Corday Statement:

"This is a very difficult one for all of us. Hogey was the ultimate team player and there are not sufficient words to express how deeply he will be missed. His impact on our show, personally and professionally, was profound and will forever remain unmatched."

Just saw this break on Soap Digest, and my response was "Holy s-h-i-t!" He hadn't looked well for a while, but I still NEVER expected this.

Damn. And I LOVED RoJohn/later John/Isabella. May Drake rest in peace. :(

RIP Drake.  No other words.  I am devastated.

How ironic is it that he dies IRL from the same form of cancer that killed poor Isabella on the show?

This is really sad. How devastatingly surprising. He always seemed such a wonderful man. His presence will be sorely missed, on the show and I'm sure in real life.
