Oooh. I agree, and we need to put something pro Tracy/Monica in our letters. I want to see that too ! We also need to speak up for SD, he should be bugging Tracy every day now, LOL.

I agree Carrie that sounds like it hurt ! You may want to put ice on that.

I also wanted to add that we might want to put in our letters that we LIKE a balanced, softer Tracy, and not the one note villainess crap of a few years back. I'm okay with her acting out in her anger, but it seemed like Guza had her pretty balanced before he left (okay a little too soft), but I don't like how she told on Monica to the cop so easily today. I don't like her striking out like that without any hesitation, and I don't want these writers painting her in a corner.....

Mean!!! :P

Thanks for the clips!

Let's hope for LuNacy tomorrow! (oh, it does amuse me that LC is getting more this Sweeps so far than TG)... Go LC!!!

ILTQ, good point about the balance! I think with regards to Tracy/Monica, Tracy would prob. hold it over her head for awhile before bringing it up in front of a cop. And wait, has Tracy even SEEN Monica drinking?! Wish we had more development in this story...

Need to be up extra early tomorrow (due to weather and an early morning meeting...), so I'm gonna start winding down now...

EDIT: Has anyone seen this at JE.com?

(What?! It was the weekend...Oh, it's sharpened on purpose - was playing with effects).

Ilovetq and anyone else who is planning on writing...write whatever you want, that is great, but I was told that you should keep your letters focused and not mention other characters, etc in phone calls. For example, if it is a lunacy letter or phone call you are making, don't mention the Quartermaines in general or don't say, Oh I also like Tracy and lulu or whatever cause then they have to tally whoever you mention and they won't bother sometimes if too many are mentioned.

The insider person said to keep it strictly to the character/pairing you are advocating. However, if you want to write a stuart letter, write one, or a Tracy/Monica, by all means write em! :)

I'm in the breakroom with nancy at 9:06 central time...TL You around???

From the back up soapdish board brought over to SD IL...

I think Tracy just doesn't want to deal with Luke at all now cause she is so mad! Get set cause as Lunacy fans we are not gonna like this little dumping Luke speech coming up today or tomorrow....but have faith...I think more scheming is to come...you know Luke isn't gonna try to win her back the traditional way....but I do think from all I have heard and read, that Tracy is not going to budge too fast and is holding to her wanting him out of her life. We know she really doesnt' mean this, but I think she is not going to be caving so fast this time...

I think the luke finding his legs back is going to be him teaming up with the unlikely ally thing and Tracy stopping it dead in its tracks or something like that.

Also from soapdish IL

Edit

Sent out a valentines card today!

My guess is he is ready to partner up with Tracy to frame Monica....maybe that is when he proposed they team up...he wants to cut a deal with her? If sonny turns him down, then I doubt he would partner up with Claudia...he won't go with Sonny's enemies...plus the Zacharras almost killed him and now Lulu is at risk with them. IF anything, he would be teaming up with Jason and Sonny.

I think it is Tracy-related....

I just read she is on so far, but no dialogue but in new clothes---yippee!

    • I didn't think they had any chemistry, but that's true for most couples on EE in recent years.
    • Keep complaining. The new writers do read the comments/feedback. Maybe Leo will finally be written out for good.
    • To me that is unduly insulting to Susan.
    • Wonderful, thank you  As you guys can see I am starting to file things away once a week or so. I put them in a folder so you all know to download by a certain date. That also makes it easier for everyone to see what's new.
    • Just started today's show, and in the first 5 minutes I have to put up with Leo and Susan. I'm ready to turn this off.
    • ^ This is a *spoiler*.   It's on the May spoiler thread.
    • It's interesting that we're talking about Charita right now, because if you look at the available older episodes of GL from the 50s and 60s, Bert was NOT the shining matriarch we saw during the 70s and 80s. She was a very complex character. She was dissatisfied with her lot, always disappointed in Bill and later on her children. Papa Bauer was constantly trying to set her straight. He was very fond of her in spite of everything. That seemed to change around the time Bill was written out of the show and then the actor who played Papa Bauer died. Regardless of era, she was still an important and vital character. (I like to think the reason she was the one Bauer who was fair to Alan was because of her past). Bill Bell was very good at creating matriarchs who were interesting and complex. Kay Chancellor from Y&R--she was an alcoholic and nympho and yet anchored the show for decades. Sometimes shows had the "good matriarch" and the "dark matriach"--i.e. Van and Meg on Love of Life, Mary Matthews and Aunt Liz on AW (she wasn't "dark" but she was a terrible busybody), Mona and Phoebe on AMC, etc. Ada on AW was another wonderfully complex matriarch character. Good or dark or something in between, they were very important to the shows they anchored.  Then GH catapulted soap operas into the mainstream. Before that, soaps were a niche--a very lucrative niche, but still a niche for a certain audience. Soaps started focusing so much on younger characters and trying to pull in a younger audience. The kind of storylines being written did not easily feature middle-aged women who were wives and mothers.  She had a very successful prime time career. She was booked a lot as a guest star on prime time shows and she did films, as well. She came back to soaps for a time on Santa Barbara. Maybe because the Dobsons, who created Rita, created the part for her? And we all know what a great decision that was. The prejudice against older women on soaps strikes again...I don't think it would have been that big a deal. I wasn't a huge Don Stewart fan, but the show definitely had a hole in it without Mike. Leaving Ross the only major legal eagle was awkward. He was shifting from prosecuting to defense a lot. Also, there was all that history between Mike and Alan that was right there ready to be used. Even though Alan and Ed were far from friends, his hatred of Ed and how he went after him and his family after his 1986 return didn't really ring true. It was almost as if they took scenes that should have been between him and Mike and stuck Ed in there instead.
