I remember Casey D's Chad having many nice scenes with that cute little Johnny.  In those years, they very, very quickly shoehorned him into the DiMera family--making him very close to EJ and Lexie, then later Kristen.  That's when he was the anti-DiMera good guy, until TomSell let him get pretty shady in the year+ before Casey exited the role.  When Billy Flynn took over and Theo was aged a year later with Kyler Pettis, they made it clear that Chad and Theo were sooo close so it tracks that he has (or should have) a close relationship with Johnny.  I remember when Johnny was first aged, he kept referring to Abby as "Aunt Abigail," which sounded weird to me lol.

How many days until Ron Carlivati is back??? The scab writing is boring. Just blah blah blah. No story movement. If this is Sheri Anderson as rumored, shame on her. She knows the show and could do better. And Days appears to have dropped in the rankings on Peacock. It used to be #2 or 3, now it ranks #9 or 10 and some days it is not even in the top 10. The show is boring with the scabs!

Jason47 has posted today that we should not be seeing his name on the credits anymore! July 14 was his last day & now we are through with him! The Monster is gone from our screens!

I absolutely, positively cannot believe that Brady had a flashback to what he himself had said 15 minutes before. That is such an awful sign.

But I was thinking I’d need a big Friday cliffhanger to cap off my first week

So, does this mean that he isn’t the one to blame for

Question(s) of the day: Why does Alex need to tell Brady that Theresa is focusing on her work?  Don't Brady and Theresa work in the same office?

Also, Xander's out there just telling anyone that someone called him asking him to kill people?

Lastly, why does hair and makeup insist on trimming Brady's beard like he is a reject from the 90s pop group Color Me Badd?

    • That's so funny, that's how I listen to Montecito - while walking my dog. I'll have to check out Forever & a Day.
    • I need to listen! Forever & a Day was a fun soapy podcast to have available when I walked the dog.
    • A few years ago, Devon and Nick started a charity organization together, I think it's for housing in the community.
    • I’m hoping to start getting to know Vernon better this month. He’s really only been a bunch of noble and good tropes so far. I don’t want him to be taken down the way Ted has been, but it seems he was a long-running Senator and no matter what party you are, lasting longer than twenty years means you’re looking out for you (and not who you’re supposed to be looking out for) most of all. I want to get to know both Vernon and Anita beyond their Dupree posturing. Clifton Davis can sleepwalk handling the kind of material Christopher Bernau and David Lewis handled and I’d like to see more than just a saint.
    • I thought Emily/Hal was a really interesting pairing. And I think KMH played that version of Emily very well! It might not have been what people wanted from Emily, and the writing got pretty gross at the end, but I thought she embodied that character effectively.
    • Don't know if this exactly fits here, but it is connected: Does this abandoned building look familiar? It is one of those explorer videos - and the outside may look VERY familiar if one watched GH in the '70s and '80s!

    • So, I have been in the hospital all week. I am close to being up to date on my soaps. Now I have to go to the Infusion Ctr daily to get IV antibiotics, for 6 weeks. I am frankly exhausted. A hospital is no place to be when you're sick. Hooked up to machines that go beep beep beep all day & night long. Someone wakes you up every hour on the hour for something, either to stick you with needles or to take your gosh-awful blood pressure for the umpteenth time. So, you don't get any sleep. Now I have a central line, upper right chest. After they "installed" it, I said, I am now Borg. They just stared at me. Apparently scifi is not general knowledge. What happened? I have an infection inside my big toe right foot & it burned the skin on my foot. The burned skin is already better. It was like a bad sunburn. The infection inside the toe is the issue. Oral antibiotics won't even get its attention. So, IV antibiotics plus time.

As Salem bids farewell to John Black on Monday, the "Days" family and fans say a final goodbye to Drake Hogestyn.   From his time as a young man playing baseball in the minor leagues for the New York Yankees to his almost four-decade run as John Black, Drake always did his best. And, while becoming a soap opera icon, he spent almost 40 years at "Days" telling the best stories and taking the younger cast under his wing to make sure they would do their best as well. Thank you, Drake, for the legacy you have left for everyone at "Days." The impact you made on the cast, crew and fans will never be forgotten...and that's a fact.
    • I found an interview with Joseph Breen (Will Jeffries) where he mentions that Reva was put in a coma so Zimmer could go to Hollywood to do a pilot (OMG, if ONLY it had been picked up, LOL) and that Sonni and Josh and Will became a popular with the audience while she was out of commission.  If you want to read the whole thing: https://www.authorsden.com/visit/viewarticle.asp?id=47394 Breen was known for being very candid in interviews, I wish I could find more of them. I seem to recall he made a couple of snarky comments about Zimmer, implying she was not above acting like a diva. Sounded to me like he had a lot of respect for Forbes (who went on to have a very strong and varied career after GL).
    • I was so confused why Devon was prying into Nicks love life and then it clicked and I remembered they’re brother-in-laws. Shows how little I pay attention to this show anymore. I was like uh? Do these two even know each other this well?
