It doesn't bother me at all?  Lol.  Not to argue but I think if Belle can have an adult daughter that's in her late 20's both Brady/Nicole can have older kids.  EJ's kids are grown ups too.  It seems to fall slightly inline with the rest of the SORASing.  It's Days so I am a little bit more lenient on believability here.

I think today was a Jamey episode. It’s always a Jamey episode when people say stupid things or act out of character. He really is to writing what Leo is to every character he interacts with

Speaking of Leo, he’s still

And no prop writing is going to make people like him. Jackie did kinda speak for all of us today though. As for Dimitri/Peter Porte… I’ve said what I think about a million times already. I’m sure his acting talent wasn’t wasted in his movie last night

Btw, I love how Jackie saw Dimitri and Leo on Halloween but for some reason waited a month to track them down #lazywriting

Even Chanel/Johnny/Holly/Tate wasn’t even that good today and I’ve been enjoying that storyline. The fake Holly/Tate relationship is totally unnecessary. That’s like something you’d see on GH.

The cliffhanger with Nicole/Eric/Sloan was pretty good though.

Probably lol

It would be nice though to get more seasons though, or even like a whole franchise.

I think Holly/Johnny/Tate/Chanel would work better if it wasn't so lopsided.  I know Johnny isn't going to dump Chanel for high school aged Holly.   Chanel has no reason to be jealous or even threatened by Holly.  Tate just wants Holly, so we are just watching a very predictable story play out.  All the actors are likable in this, but I feel like I am just waiting for Holly to get over this crush and fall for Tate.  I know soaps are built on stories like this-I just feel like this one is especially juvenile.

On another note, is Gabi going to get a trial or go to court for killing Li?  I know Camila is gone, but is there ever going to be a resolution to this story?  Who actually killed Li?  I am actually offended on Camila's behalf that her last episode was just Gabi being carted off to jail for an indeterminate amount of time.  This story feels like it was dropped completely.

Thanks!  I am the worst when it comes to credits and an actor's status.  Stefan seems like one of the more isolated characters on the cast, so it will be interesting to see what he does next.  Well, probably not interesting lol, but I guess the show has plans for him.

Did anyone get an opportunity to see who wrote today's script? The credits failed me after being successful for several days. I may have unfairly maligned the bird. Is today the first of the scab writers?

@JAS0N47   Can you confirm that today is the first day of strike-written show? Thanks!

I really like both Holly & Tate. I was surprised Chanel confronted Holly until I saw that they used it to create a pretend Holly/Tate couple. Since that can be a step to a real couple that is to the good. I thought it was funny that Tate is perturbed that Brady is taking all his earnings to pay back his debt to his ex-prep school. No teen would take being penniless well! I very much like how Holly is aligned with her mom.

I liked today even though so much time was wasted on Leo, Dimitri & Jackie. But, Johnny/Chanel & Holly/Tate was fun. And, the big deal of the day was again Ari's performances. A Monday cliffhanger! Eric's got the DNA results in his hand. How will they prolong this?

I also see real potential in the Holly actress.

I feel against a recast Gabi. They had the perfectly good OG Gabi & wasted her. They don't deserve a new one. And they've not shown an ability to write more than crap for her!

    • I am interested to see how they handle Leslie/Dana down the road. If she continues in this path, it would be unrealistic to have her around. Like other shows have done this with a 'villian' character and ended up with people looking stupid putting up with someone they detest. Another thought-could they be building up to a murder story? Maybe Les/Dan will be left in a coma and we will have a whodunit with several characters as suspect. It would also be a chance to redeem her I wonder how long the show will go w/o resorting to soap cliche stories-twins,switched at birth, murder mystery, long lost child etc
    • Yeah, Martin really did make me laugh when him and Smitty jumped up to drag Leslie out. I am interested in seeing how this fallout will impact his storyline as well. Especially since he is so protective regarding his family/family's image. I am interested in seeing how he will interact with Eva for the time being, they did have a warmer interaction earlier on once they met. But he seems to have doubts about her possibly being Ted's right now. I wonder how long it might take for him to come around with her. I could see the younger generation warming up to her quicker than the older ones. Though of course I think there will be anger/tension for a while regarding the reveal and her role in it. Perhaps Naomi/Chelsea will ease up on Eva first then eventually Martin/Kat might down the line. I really do love Nicole. I'm glad that DD is playing her. She really is the heart of the family and also agree the show. She is so easy to root for and I'm looking forward to seeing how things work out for her. I am enjoying the development of most of the characters on this show. I enjoy most of them including Bill with his trifling self lol. I do feel that Bill's love for his daughters is genuine and that gives him some depth. A few of the characters I don't care for that much (like Bill, Ashley, Vanessa). I wasn't too big on Andre at first, but I am warming up more to him as the actor is settling into the role. I like most of the characters on this show. Also, I am interested in seeing what happens if Eva indeed goes and lives with the new doctor that was introduced. I could see this adding another layer to her story, maybe she will become more vixen-ish, on what type of relationship they end up having. And/or maybe she will end up becoming more hardened as she deals with being an outcast, especially if she falls out with Leslie as well. I think that AM will do a good job of showcasing the different layers of this character as she deals with the fallout of the affair/paternity reveal.

Got another sad news from the Bahamian community (not a celebrity)  https://www.instagram.com/p/DJMSrYCgyes/?igsh=NTc4MTIwNjQ2YQ== Former Bahamian Senate President J Henry Bostwick, Husband of former 1st Bahamian Female Cabinet Minister Dame Janet Bostwick is dead yesterday on his 86th birthday.    Thanks and for those who've aren't familiar with the talk shows in The Bahamas on this thread here, his talk show named The Freedom March with Dr Rodney Moncur that airs on ILTV and The Beat 103.5 FM Nassau every weekday afternoons. IIRC, he suffered a illness before he died.  Here's the link for his final taping of the show before his death: https://ewnews.com/this-is-powerful-rodney-moncurs-final-sign-off/

    • One thing I thought about is if Hayley will have a reaction to Bill threatening to kidnap and sell a baby. That's another level of viciousness and with her just having thought she was pregnant it might make her feel some type of way.
    • You're welcome. Fall 1982-Spring 1985 was the peak of primetime soaps. What a time to have been alive.
    • 1990/91 Cheers, Roseanne, A Different World, The Cosby Show, Empty Nest, The Golden Girls were still Top 10 shows, and Murphy Brown and Designing Women became Top 10 shows. It was the following season that I think was the transition season for sitcoms.
    • @xtr I loved Martin in Thursday's episode, he was almost a different character. I thought he was flirty, funny, carefree, and giggly. Glad I have someone to share my top 2 women(Nicole and Eva) with, I agree Nicole is the heart of the Dupree family, and also the heart of the show IMO. We rode into the show on the passenger side of her car, lol. What I am enjoying the most about the show, is that they did such a great job character building, because all I care about is the CHARACTER journey. Nicole, Eva, Leslie, Dani, Chelsea, etc. very invested in what's coming next. I even feel that way about Mona, Shanice, and Doug.
    • I know we have discussed the fact that Another World seemed to be planning a location shoot in Finland that got cancelled. I came across this item from the syndicated Soapbox column published June 14, 1982. "Soap operas have been experimenting extensively with on-location shooting in recent years to enhance storylines and increase their viewing audience. A major drawback is the added production costs involved. Another World, for example, cancelled a special trip for Victoria Wyndham (Rachel Cory on the show), who was scheduled to shoot scenes in Finland. The producers felt that the high price tag, along with resentment of the cast members who also wanted to travel but were to be left behind. was enough to scrap the whole project."
