Someone wrote on Doug Davidson's Twitter account -- "You're an interval part of the show!!"  I guess they meant "integral", but they accidently got the correct word exactly right.  lol.

Even though we might not ever see Fen again for another 5 years, I am glad the show made him gay. Ideally, we should have saw him explore his sexuality and come to terms with it on screen. Missed opportunity.  The show can make up for it by investing in him as a character going forward, but I'm sure they won't, they'll stick to the same old [!@#$%^&*] instead.

That's hilarious!

The real flex will be if the show brings back April before Paul to re-integrate Heather.

To have a character come out of the closet, off screen is absolutely ridiculous.

You can say the same thing about 95% of this show.

A part of me thinks they did because they know they wouldn't have to invest in the character of Fen for the foreseeable future.

Everyone was thrown off by Fen introducing Trey as his boyfriend. So Fen hadn't communicated this by phone with Lauren or Michael off screen either.

But, does Fen know that his former lover Sheila is living in Los Angeles with only nine toes?

When Fen introduced Trey as his boyfriend. Michael said to Trey "It's fantastic to finally meet you in person at last." That implies Michael and Lauren already knew Fen was gay and had a boyfriend, but hadn't met him.  Gloria, Kevin, and Chloe for sure all looked like they were hearing it for the first time.

Michael was probably thinking: “Damn I need one of those” when he saw Trey! :D

Lauren's facial expression during the announcement was pretty muted -- possibly from Botox.  Michael seemed to know all about Trey, though, and had been looking forward to meeting him.  Looked as though they hadn't shared the news with Gloria.

Meanwhile Kevin was thinking:  I hope Fen doesn't spill all our secret adventures we've been up to in Salem.

I must have missed that part.

Speaking of...I'm so sick of seeing Greg Rikkart on my screen.

So bizarre to make Fen gay. No build up to it and no consequence so what is the point?

Just a random episode for Lauren. Nothing mentioned before about her getting an award. Michael arranging Fen to make a surprise visit. Some sort of build up. And now Lauren will be back to sitting at Society as a glorified extra.

Josh Griffith has to go. Anyone would be better at this stage.

The show is still salvageable.
