That kid is smarter than His Dad!!! I just hope they turn him into a Damien

I think Brooke would be wise to dump the Forresters at once! It's The Second Time in Less Than a Year Thomas is Doing His Schemes And Ridge just Dumps Brooke without thinking twice, Bill isn't a great Alternative either, I think they should send Brooke to Slut Around Europe for A While!

Incidentally I saw some footage of KKL's Visit To Greece from a Few Years Ago Recently, I think they should consider doing a Storyline There

I disagree that Thomas is ruined.

I appreciate that the character is always an antagonist without ever committing a fatal criminal offense.  Sheila, and other B&B villains, have caused heinous destruction that takes unbelievable efforts to write her out of the perpetual corner that she's stuck into.    But, Thomas has always had undiagnosed mental health issues which cause him to make poor choices and his punishment is that he's never been able to enjoy a mutual romantic relationship (nor the respect of his family or any success in business).  He is one of the most consistent personas, despite all of the recastings.

I don't post spoilers for upcoming episodes in this nonspoiler thread.

But I will comment now, that the official spoiler/description from the show regarding a recent episode that already aired, refer to Thomas's actions as "evil".

This was in the cable guide, and also tweeted from the show:

Thomas doubles down on his evil manipulation of Brooke and Ridge.

So - I disagree with a lot about Thomas - not a regular watcher and likely never will be again but - how many brain tumors and mental issues are ya gonna toss around? Sex with mannequins? Jeffrey Daumer the dude? It’s just a lot and - don’t care because he like Sheila will never end. It’s a yawner.

And shall we go over the real requirements for an annulment? It’s an every other day event on this show. An annulment is actually more difficult than a divorce - and I know it’s lovely to suspend all reality but it’s just ridiculous at this point.  Which one of them has an undisclosed STD? A formerly illegal divorce?  Bigamy? Brooke and Ridge are actually brother and sister?  Fraud - you tricked each other into marriage? These are the typical easier reasons for the quicky annulments.  So. It’s great to be fun and stuff but - it gets into beyond stupid. Sigh.

I still haven’t gotten over how Douglas was conceived, as that trashed the character of Thomas for me, as the show acts like it never happened or that the behavior was okay but dubious consent is still wrong, and when it happened B&B did not understand why people were upset.  If the public knew what he did he would be cancelled and the media would attack the brand especially since Hope for the Future is supposed to be a womenswear brand about real issues. At least that may be interesting unlike Thomas using Douglas.

at the end of the day, I just wish that Thomas and Steffy would realize that Taylor deserves better than their father and find Taylor her own Finn, as it was such a relief to have Steffy finally find someone who puts her first. I want Ridge alone, and not with Brooke either…

    • Search YT for Edwyn Sanchez, he posted an AI enhanced episode of ATWT and it is beautiful.
    • That's so funny, that's how I listen to Montecito - while walking my dog. I'll have to check out Forever & a Day.
    • I need to listen! Forever & a Day was a fun soapy podcast to have available when I walked the dog.
    • A few years ago, Devon and Nick started a charity organization together, I think it's for housing in the community.
    • I’m hoping to start getting to know Vernon better this month. He’s really only been a bunch of noble and good tropes so far. I don’t want him to be taken down the way Ted has been, but it seems he was a long-running Senator and no matter what party you are, lasting longer than twenty years means you’re looking out for you (and not who you’re supposed to be looking out for) most of all. I want to get to know both Vernon and Anita beyond their Dupree posturing. Clifton Davis can sleepwalk handling the kind of material Christopher Bernau and David Lewis handled and I’d like to see more than just a saint.
    • I thought Emily/Hal was a really interesting pairing. And I think KMH played that version of Emily very well! It might not have been what people wanted from Emily, and the writing got pretty gross at the end, but I thought she embodied that character effectively.
    • Don't know if this exactly fits here, but it is connected: Does this abandoned building look familiar? It is one of those explorer videos - and the outside may look VERY familiar if one watched GH in the '70s and '80s!

    • So, I have been in the hospital all week. I am close to being up to date on my soaps. Now I have to go to the Infusion Ctr daily to get IV antibiotics, for 6 weeks. I am frankly exhausted. A hospital is no place to be when you're sick. Hooked up to machines that go beep beep beep all day & night long. Someone wakes you up every hour on the hour for something, either to stick you with needles or to take your gosh-awful blood pressure for the umpteenth time. So, you don't get any sleep. Now I have a central line, upper right chest. After they "installed" it, I said, I am now Borg. They just stared at me. Apparently scifi is not general knowledge. What happened? I have an infection inside my big toe right foot & it burned the skin on my foot. The burned skin is already better. It was like a bad sunburn. The infection inside the toe is the issue. Oral antibiotics won't even get its attention. So, IV antibiotics plus time.

As Salem bids farewell to John Black on Monday, the "Days" family and fans say a final goodbye to Drake Hogestyn.   From his time as a young man playing baseball in the minor leagues for the New York Yankees to his almost four-decade run as John Black, Drake always did his best. And, while becoming a soap opera icon, he spent almost 40 years at "Days" telling the best stories and taking the younger cast under his wing to make sure they would do their best as well. Thank you, Drake, for the legacy you have left for everyone at "Days." The impact you made on the cast, crew and fans will never be forgotten...and that's a fact.
    • I found an interview with Joseph Breen (Will Jeffries) where he mentions that Reva was put in a coma so Zimmer could go to Hollywood to do a pilot (OMG, if ONLY it had been picked up, LOL) and that Sonni and Josh and Will became a popular with the audience while she was out of commission.  If you want to read the whole thing: https://www.authorsden.com/visit/viewarticle.asp?id=47394 Breen was known for being very candid in interviews, I wish I could find more of them. I seem to recall he made a couple of snarky comments about Zimmer, implying she was not above acting like a diva. Sounded to me like he had a lot of respect for Forbes (who went on to have a very strong and varied career after GL).
