If true not shocked. Even being on Contract, Days did nothing with Sonny

Also I cant with this BS that Days cant write stories with recurring characters

BS GH does it all the time. Hell one of its faves James Patrick Stuart (Valentin) who has a hot romance with Finola Hughes Anna has been recurring since he debuted in summer 2016 & he's been leading story since he debuted

Issue is Days doesnt want to write for anyone recurring thats the thing

They were never going to do anything with Sonny anyway, as he's gay, and he's not a camptress we can tee hee at like show pet Leo. I feel bad for Zack's fans but I'm sure he'll get much bigger parts soon enough. Look on the bright side - at least you won't have to see a comedy story where Sonny tries to rape a straight man to turn him gay.

I think the indicators that Ron seemed to be angling towards pairing Sonny with Leo suggests they were going to do more with him - they like Tinker and know the fans like him, hence trying to latch Leo to him to once again make one of Ron's 'bad guys' into a romantic hero via a series of diminishing returns (Gwen, etc). Not that I'm into that story at all, because it's OOC and also so predictable with Ron and his beloved camp antiheroes/villains at this point. Still, it's typical DAYS if they lost ZT.

Again, I think a lot of it might have to do with Tinker wanting to do more prime time spots and get a more flexible schedule, especially since that seems to be the driving factor behind Lamon, Saleisha and Marci's departures. Understandably, DAYS has seemingly cut down on actors who wants the show to adjust to their schedules - and to be fair, if that's the case here you'd still have a Sonny that wouldn't commit to the show full time and the writers writing him accordingly. I'd rather have Sonny and Will off screen until they can find actors willing to commit if that's the case here.

Because it's either that or he's asking for a struggling daytime drama that's moved to a struggling streaming service for a big enough raise for them to let him go.

    • So yesterday I wandered off on a tangent about Elvis Presley, off the top of my head. Probably no one cares but I want to correct facts. Elvis Presley did have a twin who was stillborn. They named him Jesse Garon Presley & in a level of their emotional life he was very real to Elvis's mama & to a lesser degree to Elvis himself. I will now return you to your regularly scheduled discussing post-Ron prattle.
    • They are the absolute stars for me. I’m delighted every day that my feelings about them from the special on the show, turned out to be that and so much more. I genuinely feel episodes are better when they’re featured. This cracked me the hell up especially with Leslie listening

. This episode was so good, I will be rewatching when I get home tonight. THIS was classic soap opera.
    • I can barely remember who was the person they tested her with for the AMC revival but I *do* remember kinda liking them together (anyone remember better?  lol)  But yes, I feel the same.  It might not help that when I became a regular viewer Tad was presumed dead and she was with Craig...  I do remember that my sister's best friend had been an AMC viewer with her mom and dad and that they were very excited that Tad was returning... OK I instantly remembered that.  And now once again I'm sad about what coulda been with the reboot.
    • Well, that is weird. I do not see him but I only have him on Ignore on 2 accounts.
    • In the preview for the show back in February on Entertainment Tonight, Jeresa the costume designer was specific about each character's economic background, personality, and the character's personal fashion preferences.  Very much about the characters and not the actors. She said Eva is a thrifter, so her normal daily wardrobe would be something from a thrift store, and if BTG buys it new, they intentionally make it look used. So what you said fits about the type of thing a lower income person would buy for a fancy event.
    • As hard as it is for me to imagine anyone but Don Stewart as Mike Bauer...I dunno...maybe someone like "Adam-12"'s Kent McCord?  Or Robert Hogan?
    • Yep I don't hate Javi and then he's macking on Leo and I'm done with him. Leo is a failure who needs to go away   I am bracing myself for Alex reading the manuscript and imagining him and Stephanie as the main characters, because this couple has literally nothing else to do until Joy comes back showing
    • Oh yes. The towel scene though
    • Interesting that Donald May has been mentioned twice. He's on my dreamcast list for Alan. He was somewhat older than Stewart and Bernau, but he could have played either role. An actor I thought about for Mike was Dan Hamilton. He played a role on GL during the 60s, but enough time had passed that it shouldn't have been a problem. He usually played smarmy characters but it would have been cool if they had gone against typecasting.
