Yeah they did.  I just think Stefan's previous history made it a bad move from the start and you really can't come back from that.  Unless you're Ben lol.  I think Ron screwed up Stefan from the jump, but I don't think he actually screwed them up as a couple.  I cut some slack due to TC's personal issues as well.

I mean, ideally they should've known this move would happen when they got renewed for 2 years - personally, I would've liked to see most storylines tied up and then a(nother) time jump leading into a soft reboot on Peacock. But alas, NBC did make this decision at the very last minute so we can't get nice things.

I am sooooo tired of Kristen. She's not a fun villain anymore. She's just annoying and pathetic.

I also don't get why they keep bringing Orpheus back for these lame kidnappings every year.

I absolutely hate creepy Alex and his Stephanie obsession. The only good thing about him is that he gives ZT/Sonny more airtime. I do like the new Stephanie but unfortunately she's stuck in Alex hell.

The Sloan actress is horrendous. I'm assuming they're testing her with Rafe since Racole aren't for long. I'm loving Ericole longing for each other. Sorry Jada!

I'm curious about Ava/Johnny just because it's so random. I wouldn't mind if EJ banged her either LOL. My boy needs something to do besides whine about DiMera Enterprises.

I'm all signed up for Peacock Premium

Kristen is absolutely a character that could just pop up when Eileen wants to appear.  I have always questioned the decision to keep her full time and to give her a child with Brady.

Orpheus clearly just fills the void Stefano left and kidnaps Marlena yearly.  If production was better and Orpheus was more adept I would appreciate him more.  I really thought Orpheus was a good, scary villian in the 80's.

I like the new Stephanie.  I really agree about Alex.  It's weird they are boxing RSW in with a newbie and hoping it works out.  He can interact with a lot of other characters and so can she.

I like that Jada has a strong personality and feels like she's getting decent development, but I find her personality pretty grating.   I think the actress is good and I will wait and see I guess.

Sloan is whatever.  It's clear she's going toward Rafe and I don't care about him, so I won't care about her lol.

I like Ava/Johnny as well.

You & me, too! Stacy is not doing it for me. And, Kristen just has nothing about her character that would cause her to be manic!

I love Jada. I have no problems with her but I know some do. Love Stephanie. Cannot abide Alex.

I can't stand Sloan. However, Rafe is more interesting when he is hollering at her than any other time, so, there's that.

I have never liked Orpheus. I have never liked Johnny. But, Ava does make him more tolerable, so, there's that. It's like these guys are "character conditioners". LOL

And, @AlexElizabeth I agree with everything you said.

I loved Kristen and I do think Stacy gives it her all, but Kristen should have bigger fish to fry than Chloe Lane and trying to reunite with her (almost) former stepson.  The idea of Kristen/Brady (with Eileen) was great, but making them a weird lovestory doesn't work.

Jada is okay.  I don't think she's a bad character, but I personally don't like her at this point.  It could change.

Yeah, I literally think the new Stephanie is a great find.  I am excited to see what she does (outside of Alex).

Orpheus was so scary to me as a kid.  He wasn't campy like Stefano back then.  He was just straight up psycho and deranged.  These days none of his plans make any sense and always fail.  The scary thing about Orpheus back in 86 is that his plan worked.  Marlena 'died' for semi-real-for 5 years.

Carson Boatman just isn't a very good actor.  I don't think Johnny is a bad character really and hopefully CB gets better.  I do think he's cute and charming.

Kristen is horrible. I hate the actress in the role. She sucks here and she did on YR.

Stephanie in Alex hell is a great way to put it! I couldn't agree more!!

If I wasn't signed up already Billy would've convinced me too.

No he's not!

Tomato tomatoe....all the same ...would've loved to see Chandler promote it that way too!!

    • Based on script (and script alone), it feels like they're shifting Lois out of story altogether, unfortunately.
    • Lois should be seen more.  Away from this story lol!  With a sexy love interest!
    • Lois is there to [almost] drop the news of Gio's parentage. lmao. And plus, Rena is iconic and should be seen more!
    • Hmmm...Stefano being Benjy's dad is a whole other thing I suppose. Pocket would be (most likely) a grown man now.  It could be interesting for Phillip if he showed up.  I totally get what you are saying about soaps and adoption.  The minute someone finds their biological parent the poor adoptive parents are entirely forgotten about.
    • Thanks for posting that. I didn't know about "Invisible Man" by Ralph Ellison. I knew only "The Invisible Man" by H.G. Wells.   I just spent some time learning about Ellison's novel.  Now I have a lot of work to do, to learn more, to read more.
    • Because it wasn't posted here is the ONLY reason you can still post here. Numerous other examples were posted here, including, but not limited to, your insinuation of a romantic relationship between two actors on General Hospital, the medical condition of another actress from the same show, and the death of an actor from the same show (which you quickly deleted as it clearly wasn't verified, and still hasn't been), just to same a few. You are the reason I implemented the edit button time limit in the first place as you've repeatedly posted something inappropriate (as noted in my previous post and above), got called out on it by other members, and quickly deleted or removed the offending post before @Toups or I even got a chance to see it. As for Drake, I don't care who the hell told you about his medical condition. It wasn't YOUR right to say anything about it. In fact, your post on X/Twitter at the time wasn't worded in the manner in which you were responding to the news being publicly shared. You posted it to break the news. You even PM'd me and Toups, virtually threatening us with an alert that you planned to post it on the Community itself! The [!@#$%^&*]?!?!?! Stop playing innocent or victim. You are neither. Either post as you've been repeatedly asked to, or find some place else. I don't care.
    • Also, I recall the old analogy Max:Brady as Benjy:Johnson (and I guess Pocket:Kiriakis - but, you know I don't like it when they undermine adoptions by calling the biological carriers the “real parents” on soaps — Tyler has lived with his family for a long time now, he is one of them)
    • Frankie Donner and Max Becker are no biological relation, but Frankie took care of him as best he could until Shawn and Caroline adopted them both, changing their name to Brady. Max was mute for a time. Frankie is Carly's brother, which was a later retcon in the early 90's that didn't make much sense at the time. Kind of like Sarah being Neil's daughter, which coincidentally happened around the same time. Anyway, Trent Becker was Max's biological dad. His mom was said to have died. I forget why Trent had abandoned him, but I think he had scenes with Jennifer and Frankie and decided Max was better off with the Brady's and left him in their care without Max seeing him. This was the original story in the 80's. In 2008, he was reformed to be Trent Robbins, played by Roscoe Born. It was revealed he was Nicole's first husband, never previously mentioned, and that Max had a sister Melanie, Trent taught to be a con artist. Melanie obviously turned out to be Daniel and Carly's kid, and Trent was later murdered by Nick, to protect Melanie. Benjy was a deaf kid that Steve and Kayla ended up befriending. The first of Stefano's retconned children. He left town with his grandfather, Orion Hawk.  Pocket was taken care of briefly by Steve and Kayla. This was in the mid 2000's. He is the biological kid of Philip and Melanie after The Gloved Hand (EJ, and Patrick as his forced henchman) switched the fertilized eggs of Mimi, who was married to Shawn, and Belle, who was then married to Philip. Philip and Mimi ended up letting the baby be adopted. As far as the audience knows, his name is now Tyler Wilkins.
    • Exactly!  I really want her to turn the tables and outsmart Drew, but will GH have the gumption be that unpredictable for a change.  She was there to blurt out that line at end just to give more reason for Lulu to be annoying.
    • Max's dad was Trent.  Melanie's "dad" for a while too.   Benjy was deaf.  You have to remember that lol. Tyler Pocket does deserve justice though.
