RIP, Anne. 

 

In whatever role I saw her in, she was always a powerful force--one who I felt should've gotten more praise from the mainstream media. 

 

Having gotten the honor to watch her on Another World (when Soapnet re-aired her stint) was a thing of beauty. I already loved Vicky/Marley when Jensen was in the role, but I grew to understand why fans touted that she was THE best version of the Hudson twins. Her stint in daytime is one that should be studied by all young actors. 

 

Sending positive energy to all her loved ones.

Very sad to hear this. I truly hope Anne Heche can be remembered for the amazing roles she brought to life, and not just for the results of her struggles. Her takes on Victoria and Marley on Another World were outstanding, and her prime time career bounced from one nuanced character to another. Rest in peace. My heart goes out to her family and those whose lives were recently affected by this past week's events.

I think my intro to her was when she did “I know what you did last summer” she was always so creepy and unhinged in that brief role. I wish I knew more about her time on AW and her other acting stints!

Really sad, but I hope she can finally be at peace now.

And yes, the work she did as the Hudson twins on AW was unrivaled by any of the other actresses who played those roles. She easily had the talent to be a contemporary and on the same level as say fellow soap alum, Julianne Moore, but so much got in the way of that.

She stole I Know What You Did Last Summer in one scene (I think she may have been uncredited, as she was already a star by then). I never understood why they didn't bring that character back for the sequel, though I suspect they couldn't afford her.
