No to both.  Higley had like six boring runs.  Jamey is at least a passionate fan, and he loved Another World so I have to give that to him.  Loved his podcast, they had some good insight and often his ideas were more exciting and history based than what was on the screen.

Is Richard Culliton still alive? I would pair him with a newer writer. A fresh perspective.  Maybe Culliton and Giddens or Culliton and some other promoted writer.

Sorry but stodgy 60s melodrama is not going to win fans over, you need flash and excitement.  That's what made 80s and 90s soaps so memorable and infectious.

That’s a big Hell No to Jamey Giddens. You guys don’t want Ron and he’s literally Ron on steroids.

My dream would be to get Christopher Whitesell back as head writer. If you can make Higley look good, then you got talent

Would their episode counts be much different? RIght now the #1 actor for the year has 60 episodes out of 134 that have aired.

As for the headwriter situation, I would be fine with giving Giddeons and Quan a go. I still don't understand how Jamey gets so much blame when Ron is the Headwriter and is doing the exact same things he did at GH and OLTL. He's not in a position to create the problems the show currently has. I base being okay with him as headwriter on Ambitions, which *was* good. It was a traditional soap, but modernized and all of the stories worked. I do think the show had some casting issues (Robin Givens being the worst), but the writing was good. I remember Susan Dansby tweeting certain story developments came from her, so I wouldn't mind him bringing her with him. The team of Jamey, Michele Val Jean and Susan Dansby was very strong on Ambitions. People hate him so they'll say anything, but those two ladies also had EP credit and were a key part of developing that series as well and their credentials are strong.

They are probably still in shock and crying about it.

He must be going crazy not being able to post on Twitter about his great writing ability.

I have a hard time thinking Ron would go silent on this unless he either didn't know, is getting canned bc he's too expensive, or both. The last time I remember him going dark was when GH cut him loose.

    • It's always hot when he's onscreen
    • True. So it must be the heat.   LOL. Oh, you.
    • That's a lousy ad. They didn't even choose good headshots. That's the least attractive I've seen Gregory Harrison look in his entire career. He looked hotter on GH last year! And CBS would keep bringing over ABC or NBC actors (more often ABC) for their soaps, further gutting their identities. Sad all around. Of course, they are the only network to have more than one soap on the air, so who am I to judge?
    • He always looks a snack to me lol!  Yes Blue is his color for sure! Those arms of his are huge *must not think dirty thoughts*
    • Maybe trying to ramp up the nostalgia factor? The only original characters left on the show were Angela, Lance, and Chao-Li. But FC hadn’t been watched by too many since 1987 and the finale didn’t bring back any old living characters like Emma, Cole, Peter Stravos etc.
    • 5-13   That was kinda meh except for the coda. Liam figuring out that Hope knows he's dying. And ending it on that. Good acting.   Oh, Luna. smh. But I guess I do look forward to see how she expects to wiggle her way into Finn's life. And uh oh at Sheila and seeing the wheels start to turn again. Honestly, he's been looking like a whole snack the last few weeks. And I can't decide if it's just the heat here lol or if he's just been working out more than usual.  But blue and shades of it has been such a great color on him.
    • For the Nurses Ball, I don't like what GH has done in recent years having U/5 professional dancers in the back of all the staged numbers -- nobody we recognize but they are wearing medical garb wardrobe as they dance alongside the GH characters. I'd prefer to see only the GH characters dancing and singing imperfectly.
    • Oh that's a good point! I was saying only that I'd prefer that the product placement not be heavily featured by the cameraperson during a stressful scene, because it takes me out of the moment. I don't mind it being part of the background of scenes -- most of the time, I like it. I saw a similar tweet from another BTG viewer that said something along the lines of Tide being for when there is (emotional) mess to clean up...  and Febreze is for the calming after the mess.
    • These writers and Frank (especially Frank) have to go!!!
    • I remember the articles and fan letters complaining about Alfonso so I wouldn't be surprised if Alfonso didn't want to talk about her time on the show. She was probably used to being the fan favorite. She got a lot of flack for being the "Ana Alicia replacement" and that hurt her from the beginning.  It's odd that CBS would think that hiring Alfonso would lure Days viewers to the show, but they kept doing that to their daytime soaps (as did NBC with ABC actors) and it rarely worked.
