How in the hell could the police arrest someone for a murder without an autopsy being performed?   This kind of lame story makes me want to shake someone.

Exactly. For example, it's possible Finn had a fatal heart attack, etc. prior to being shot by Sheila. How do they 'know' Sheila killed Finn? Steffy's eyewitness testimony that would never hold up in court? The paramedics that declared him 'dead' but legally someone is *not* dead until its declared and signed off by the coroner, even under natural causes.

Charging someone for murder is a meticulous process. This is why B&B has failed in all attempt to do anything crime related. Have they ever had a successful/riveting murder story? That's a basic staple of soaps and B&B somehow can't grasp the concept.

Maybe Ivana's murder? But that was almost 30 years ago....

They charged Sheila with murdering Finn and attempted murder of Steffy.

Sheila wasn't charged until Steffy remembered that Sheila was the shooter.

Sheila's attorneys could argue that
a) Finn didn't die so she didn't murder him,
and b) she didn't intend to kill Finn - he unknowingly stepped in front of the bullet intended for Steffy - he walked into the scene unaware of what was happening.

But the fact remains that Sheila did fire at Steffy (even though the bullet hit Finn).

And then again after she shot Finn, she fired at Steffy again and this time she hit her.

So Sheila made two attempts to kill Steffy.  She should spend the rest of her life in prison.  or at least many years in prison.

Bell loves writing for shock factor and cliffhangers but doesn't often back it up with substance. Sheila is too much of a useful villain for random drama for him to write her into too much of a corner.

@janea4old Steffy's memory alone isn't enough to even bring charges. There's so many holes in this story overall, it's comical.

So if Sheila's attempted murder of Steffy warrants jail - it's not a life sentence - should Taylor face the same fate? Unlike Sheila where it wasn't premeditated, Taylor intended on shooting $Bill. If that story isn't somehow brought up - even between family members - B&B is really missing the boat for some great story.

I'm betting Taylor tells the family to forgive Sheila because: 1) Taylor is guilty of same crime; and 2) Sheila saved her life when she didn't have to.. They could milk this for months when JMW is back.

True. I guess they'd have to find Sheila's gun and match the ballistics.  Were bullets embedded in Finn and Steffy, or did the bullets go right through them?

Obviously, they should have gotten a search warrant of Sheila's room and found the rings, wallets, etc. that belonged to Steffy and Finn.  That would definitely tie Sheila to the crimes....whatever they would charge her with.

Steffy was a witness. That alone is enough to convict Shelia. No body or weapon is needed. It would help bolster the case against Shelia if the weapon was found.

Corpus Delicti refers to the legal principle that evidence independent of a defendant's out of court statements or the testimony of an accomplice must prove a crime was committed before a defendant can be convicted of that crime. Corpus Delicti is a Latin phrase meaning the body of the offense or crime. For example, a person cannot be convicted of Shoplifting unless the prosecutor can demonstrate the property was stolen.  It is possible to convict someone of murder without the purported victim's body in evidence. However, cases of this type have historically been hard to prove, - Wexlaw

I've seen people convicted with no gun or body. The blood alone at the scene would show it's Finn's.

Yeah, I was going to say Ivana's murder too. That was a suspenseful storyline, even though the viewers always knew the identity of the murderer (or maybe because of it). And they played all the beats in that storyline - there was the scene leading up to the murder (although the killing took place off screen), there was an arrest, a morgue scene where the body was identified, a bond hearing, jail scenes, a prison escape, a dangerous plot to catch the killer, and the final scenes with Macy and Anthony having a romantic date while secretly planning to destroy each other were edge of your seat stuff.

Bill's hate of the 'Dressmaker' never gets old.

I'll say this much...Brooke finding out about the label switch back in January...remember when stories used to run that long? And then have a build. And then a climax. And then fallout? 5 months seem s right rather than having it go tooo long.

Finn’s very weak pulse explanation was exactly the same thing Stephanie said about Felicia’s survival 16 years ago.

Hmmm, based on Thudley’s writing as of late, here are my predictions for this summer on B&B:

Brooke/Ridge/Taylor: Ridge and Brooke reunite, but then Brooke finds out Ridge and Taylor have covered for Thomas knowing. Brooke blasts Ridge for it being the most unforgivable secret yet, and hops right into the arms of Deacon AND Bill. Bill and Deacon will come to blows over Brooke, who falls off the wagon again. Meanwhile Liam & Hope fight about their fathers.

Steffy/Finn/Bridget: Steffy returns to find an amnesiac Finn in love with Bridget his doctor. Steffy blasts Bridget for betraying her Forrester name by becoming another Logan whore taking her man away.

Thomas: Thomas is unstable and daydreams about what he could have in the past. As Thomas hits rock bottom, Vinny shows up alive! Turns out Vinny faked his suicide with Sheila’s help (don’t ask) but wants to return to make amends with Thomas. Thomas is so overjoyed he gives Vinny a passionate kiss…..Just Kidding!!! Thomas will probably stalk Hope when she has problems with Liam again.

I feel like Li is going to lose her medical license and be prosecuted for falsifying documents and kidnapping while Sheila gets of on some irrational technicality.

How about instead of Vinnie, it's a hoax pulled by Sheila and Vinnie's DoppelGanger Twinnie, who had plastic surgery in the hope that Thomas will fall in love with him. He's really child of Jack  Finnegan and Morgan DeWitt, and he goes by Finnie.. Vinnie's Twinnie Finnie.....
