monkeywenches (Christie Clark)
Los Angeles, California

Blaine and Heather….awesomeness!!!
@bbheathertom to say we have a lot in common is an understatement!

Christie Clark lives in England with her husband and children full time.   But she's in Los Angeles today, so presumably she would be there for Beyond Salem 2?

Thanks for the photo!

They began taping during week of April 18, per @JAS0N47
https://jason47.com/days/productionschedule.html

Taping during week of 4/18/22-4/22/22:
Days episodes # 14447-14450 (airing 10/20/22-10/25/22)
... and portions of BEYOND SALEM 2.

Taping during week of Week of 4/25/22-4/29/22:
Days episodes # 14451-14454 (airing 10/26/22-10/31/22)
... and portions of BEYOND SALEM 2.

(the October airdates are an average/approximation, because the daytime show tapes a lot of things out of order. The taping is occasionally done in chunks, or the schedule occasionally adapts for the availability of sets and personnel - due to COVID regulations and other factors.)

STEVE BURTON JOINS DAYS: BEYOND SALEM!

Share this:

Steve Burton, who left the role of GH’s Jason in late 2021 over the show’s vaccine policy, has been tapped by DAYS to appear in the Peacock streaming series DAYS: BEYOND SALEM (Chapter 2). The actor, who got his daytime start on the soap as Harris Michaels in 1988, talked about his experience on Digest’s podcast, Dishing With Digest. “That was my introduction to daytime,” he recalled. “ was supposed to do, I think it was like 10 episodes of DAYS and it turned into a lot more…. Being on DAYS was just a new experience for me. It was really exciting. It was over at Sunset Gower, which I had auditioned [at] hundreds of times. That was a time when, I don’t want to say the heyday of soaps [but] I feel the late ’80s and early ’90s-to-mid-’90s was a good time for soap operas. Stephen Nichols [Steve] was there and Mary Beth [Evans, Kayla] and Billy Warlock [ex-Frankie]. I mean, it was all those guys. My first real introduction to soap operas was DAYS OF OUR LIVES. It was cool. Everybody was nice. It was fun. It wasn’t easy. And I still couldn’t act!” DAYS: BEYOND SALEM (Chapter 2) is set to drop on Peacock on July 11 and run through July 15.

    • Did I ever say that? I actually don't want to, but I have no problem doing so when I feel it's truly warranted. Case in point. I'll be more respectful about how you're involving yourself in these kind of discussions when you consider doing the same. Believe me when I tell you the way you attempt to dress up this attitude has placated no one, and this is not a minority forum opinion. It is easy enough, for example, to simply say that "I think many of us have underrated JFP's skills as a woman producer in an overly misogynistic industry". It's a lot easier than spending paragraph after paragraph amusedly shaking one's head while talking down to the clueless proles of SON about their blinkered, reductive opinions. And yes, I am saying that many of us have spoken up crediting Phelps for the skills she obviously has as a technical whiz and line producer. There's nothing out of turn about acknowledging that many posters know where she excelled. Or talking about where she clearly (for many of us) didn't. You don't have to agree, but you could try listening to someone other than yourself.
    • It’s a recurring tension in Daytime: the willingness to take risks can fuel a show's longevity, but the actresses themselves often bear the long-term consequences of audience backlash.
    • I pray Eva never lets Dana back into her life, because she deserves better. Dana isn't a mother, nor is she a parent.
    • Daphnee's performance very much reminded me of Anna Holbrook's on Another World when Sharlene was dealing with John and Felicia's affair. Angry but well controlled and believable. A good start for an Emmy reel. If there is one thing an evil Black mother is going to do, it is lock you out the house. Eva shouldn't have even bothered to go home.  Leslie calling Martin "Mr. President" was interesting. How much exactly does she know about the family and has someone higher up sent her to cause trouble? Anita's speech to Leslie was dignified like Geraldine Whitney (EON) or Kim Hughes (ATWT) would have gone off on somebody.
    • Thanks for posting this, fascinating read. It's clear how ambivalent Wyndham is about Justine. IMO, it reads like she agrees that the end of the storyline was bad, but reading between the lines I think she thought she was doing good work for the meat of it....which was not the case. As bad as the writing for most of that story was, it was truly made worse by her embarrassing performance. After the story concluded she kept falling back into Justine ticks, when she wasn't phoning he scenes in. Not to play Freud, but was it to tr*ll her critics?
    • I better hear "The Emmy goes to Ambyr Michelle" come Emmy time lol
