It was satisfying to see Carly snatch Esme up.

Shouldn't people be reluctant to mess with Sonny's kids/step kids? Then again it would severely limit plot if Sonny's loved ones didnt have antagonist conflicts because the agressor would be too scared to mess with Sonny's kids. ( ie. Keifer & Kristina, Michael & Nelle). Plus the show hasn't done a good job at making Sonny intimidating possibly to cement his ethical anti/hero crimminal image. Intimidating is moreso Manny Ruiz.

I was howling at Esme's little performance when Carly grabbed her arm. Nikolas is so dumb and fell for it and rushed the girl to the hospital for a bruise. Lmao! He's an idiot.

Gotta say that I enjoy Esme stirring the pot.

I also loved seeing Selina Wu today. I'm interested in her little poker business.

Nobody is saying "smell ya later," Chase.

3-1

Is it wrong that I love that Liz (at least for now) has her own story? This haunting continues to get crazy. The meeting with Franco's mom. The fact Scott (and the writers finally playing this beat) brought up the kids maybe having issues with her moving on with Finn...which sadly probably makes them a red herring...which I have mixed feelings about that cuz it messes with the stakes a little bit. And now this with the painting and Liz freaking out. RH is doing so good with this.

Meanwhile...le sigh. They are already setting up Shawn's exit story already. I cannot believe they are letting that foine potential go. Meanwhile, the Marshall story appears to have just stalled as well.

I continue to giggle at how close Carly gets to forgiving Sonny only to watch in on him with Nina. And Sonny was sooo wrong to call Nina drunk as 'Mike.' I was just smh. Lord...

I'm really intrigued by this stuff with Liz and Jake. I wasn't expecting Jake to say that he's been in touch with his grandparents. I thought the stuff with Jeff had been dropped since it's been quite a while since they mentioned him. I'm glad we're getting back to it. Finn looks so awkward and out of place in these scenes. It would've been just fine for these scenes to be between Liz and Jake without Finn putting in his two cents.

I too need a Sprina kiss tomorrow before Sydney leaves.

I cringed when Cam said people are critiquing his technique

Same. It would be well deserved.

Good to hear that. Regardless of what the troll said AND the opinions of people I like/respect, there has been so me good writing going on after weeks of 'throw it at the wall and see what sticks' and I'm glad to see it back from where I'm watching it. What's going on with Liz right now, Peter's end, the Carly/Sonny/Nina triangle turning up, and the Teens (plus some romance done well with Brooklyn/Chase) being the current standouts.

Jeff Webber was always kind of a dick and often volatile, but if they really go for some sort of repressed abuse thing with Liz here that'll be way too far. I do hope they bring on the parents, but I expect GH to do it in the most boring or muted way possible when those characters could be powerhouses (I've been thinking of Liz's mysterious mom, who we now after decades know to be named 'Carolyn,' to be a brilliant surgeon and queen bitch in the mold of Colleen Zenk or something, and Robert Newman could easily be an equally dickish Jeff since Ashland Locke is not long for the world).

Is that the Q mansion kitchen Michael and one of the anonymous white chicks are in? It looks like a playset of the Fresh Prince of Bel-Air set!

    • Ann Williams was the first Maggie Powers on The Doctors but left to have a baby. Maggie was successfully recast so Ann picked up the role of Eunice (Jo's sister on Search for Tomorrow) and played that role for 10 years before being killed of in 1976. That led to her role of Margo on EON.
    • Looking at those totals it seems most contract actors are on a 1 or 2 week average guarantee. I assume contracts are still operating on 13 week cycles so you would have to know the particular actors contract starting date to work out their guarantee. The question remains as to what actors listed as contract are actually recurring? Bryton ?
    • Yep, that scene was at the conclusion of the Derek Thurston vs George Packard storyline, when Kay decided neither of them should run Chancellor.  By the time she put Victor in charge, Victor had been on the show for months & months with his Rolls Royce, his ranch, and Newman Enterprises.  SONY released some Y&R "trivia cards" in the late 1980s, and one of the questions was "who brought Victor Newman to Genoa City?" The answer on the back of the card is "Kay Thurston, to run Chancellor Industries", and it's a wrong answer lol.
    • I think someone said it did exist, but I can't remember.
    • The bit with the scarf reminds me of the fabled stuffed animal scene with Rick and Phillip. (That wasn't debunked, was it?)
    • Ohh, interesting. I instantly gravitated towards her in that episode. Of course I'm already hooked and want to know why she was trying to poison that older lady, but then how did the older lady know to switch the mugs so Susan drank her own poison...  but I have too many timelines I'm watching right now haha.  Oh, Bolger is definitely hot. I didn't realize he was on GL haha. I knew him from OLTL and other primetime stuff.
    • This is a effin shame. Eff Trump and eff the bastards that enable him.
    • I 100% agree but I think this is due to how the show is structured. It's a one family show which means there are no people in her age range that could be used as friends or contemporaries of her. The show definitely needs a second main family. I am glad someone finally said this. Especially now that the cast is gelling in their roles, he stands out like a sore thumb. No energy, no chemistry with anybody. He is just there.  I thought that was odd as well! The previous scene would've worked better as a tag for the credits.
    • That's the one and only Carrie Nye (Mrs. Dick Cavett) as Susan Piper, a deadly realtor. I don't want to spoil a lot if you ever want to see those episodes. She returns as another character in 2003. I think Grant has aged well and he always did a good job at being ripped without going too far, but he was never entirely my cup of tea either. I did think John Bolger was hot.
    • Totally agree. KKL looks great! It makes the Widge groveling so bizarre. Brooke needs to leave FC and with $B's/Liam's funding launch a rival fashion house with Hope, Rick, Katie and a secret designer. The best scenario is that Rick has been absent because he's been with very much alive C2, who is revealed on the runway as the secret designer. It'll never happen because B&B is comfortable just focusing on FC and the Forresters Marones v. Logans. But it'd been so much more interesting if the Spencers/Logans united.
