Unless Phoebe turns out to be Finn I can't see anything that shocking about a dead person showing up alive on a soap.

Another weird thing is that B&B has been promoting this twist/event for quite some time. They never did that before with things like Maya's revelation or Sheila's return.

The show is insanely dull right now which is probably why they’re hyping this. I didn’t even realize they were celebrating their 35th anniversary this year. Normally that’s something fans would be looking forward to and talking about.

All this hype and whatever this twist is, is just another Brad Bell attempt to generate temporary buzz when the show is in the crapper.

Brooke at 60 should not be in some dumb story where the plot hinges on her kissing her ex. She's done much worse to literally everyone in her life and this is what Ridge rages over? Dumb.

That's the only way it would make sense.
I mean, it *wouldn't* but from the POV of the thing they are trying to hype that would be unexpected alright.

Would be a bit weird to launch a double-role story for JMW (in a vacuum, she is totally Bell's pet so he would) right before she goes on pregnancy leave but I agree that the whole Phoebe name drop AND the entire weird insistence Thomas and Steffy kids have for reuniting their parents might not turn out to be innocent and is intended to set something up.
I remember that KA is the first one who started mentioning the twist so I imagine Taylor is involved in the story.

Of course if it is Phoebe who fell in love with Finn, the way Bell would manage to screw us over is if it means Steffy, wherever she is, is still hung up on Liam.
But please let it be Morgan who is responsible for this. Story-wise it would make huge sense. But they are going to make it Sheila, aren't they?

Oh, Lauren, let him go.  You are so better off without him.

I can’t believe we still don’t know what this twist on B&B is or even when it airs. You’d think they’d want to promote it if it’s as game changing as they say.

At the very least, there could be one of those overblown, on-air promos:

"BIGGEST. TWIST. EVER.  After [Enter Date Here], 'The Bold & the Beautiful' Will NEVER Be The Same."

Casting note:

Abdur Wyatt appeared as a worker at Il Giardino on Dec. 29, 2021. The closing credits for week of Dec. 27th said his role was "bartender" and gave no character name. Deacon called the character "Malcolm" and so did the closed-captioning. Malcolm was working when Sheila sneaked in and substituted the bottle of real champagne for the nonalcoholic one, in the box of booze to be delivered to Brooke. He didn't know she had done this as he finished preparing the box for Brooke.

SOD says he reappears as the bartender during week of March 14 - in scenes with Deacon and Sheila.

Here's his picture:

    • Dear sweet June, you'll get it right eventually.  In the meantime it's a good chuckle.

    • Damn, Leslie went in on Shanice... poor girl! Leslie really can't handle stress or certain emotions well, she lashes out. I also think it's weird she wants to know so many details about Eva's love/sex life. Vernon was sweet to June. It was nice (realistic) to see a customer complain to her though while she's still trying to establish herself. I'll be that guy, but for me personally, my enthusiam/excitement over the show has stalled yet again over the last couple weeks. For the majority, it seems like we're in a holding pattern until Winterfest. It's like they don't want to rock the boat or do much until then, which leaves us in a quiet period here. Are sweeps a thing still these days? Seems odd that we're having a slow November. That ending was good, but I saw that coming... in theory it should have a quick resolution, but I'm guessing Leslie will expose it at Winterfest and it'll get throw out of proportion haha.
    • Yes. Why? I don't really care. Vanessa is also acting dumb, trying to run between tables, on a date with Ross in one room and a business meeting with Alan in another.  One of the few times Van is written as less than the smart woman she was.
    • I've been specifically looking for the episodes for Ross and Van together, because they essentially both raise Dinah at that period and the recaps around her typically avoid the Dorie years, the carnies, or Alan-Michael and Cam. I'm really just trying to trace a throughline between Paige, Wendy, and Gina. The last two are "easy," but it just messes with my timeline when Dinah thinks Alan-Michael would kill Ross. Then again, that Alan-Michael slept with his own stepdaughter, so...
    • Anyway...they literally mentioned the secret room today on Days and yes, this show needs a Kristen lesbian story lol.
    • Yes, they did a 'premiere' of Maggie's death episodes at the ArcLight theatre in Los Angeles, arguably then the nicest movie theatre chain in the USA. Plus, Suzanne and Deidre were in a ton of scenes together during this time. Whatever happened between them happened after 2004.
    • There are episodes with Jenny (Mary Ellen Stuart) that she was in pre-writers strike.. and I know that she lasts until at least August 1988. It's a shame that the show didn't try pairing her with Rusty since the two had more chemistry than she had with Ross and that he had with Rose.
    • Was that when she put on the"Slut of Springfield" red dress and made a complete ass of herself at the CC, so of course Alan fell madly in love with her on the spot?
    • Oohh...now I'm not sure. Long did come back in '87, didn't she. She broke up Ross and Vanessa almost from her first minute back. Van and Ross are at the Country Club when Josh dumps Reva. And Reva dramatically drapes herself on the CC stairs.
    • Glad you enjoyed watching. Yes, Michael seems like fun. I am always interested in more of these niche talk show appearances.
