The scenes they had today you could tell how much still loved Nancy even though supposedly cheating on her.

Didn't Craig say he wasn't cheating on Nancy with another woman when asked?

Yet when Chloe said I know you'd never cheat on Nancy... Craig made this face because Chloe didn't specifically say a woman.

I am just not sure THIS is the couple to tell the story with.  They already have a story that is interesting.  I don't think I need more on this.  This couple always seemed very much in love and attracted to one another.   I literally have no problem with Craig being gay, but it actually needs to add up and thus far it hasn't.

And also this kinda puts the show into criticism because Nancy is already an "unconventional" lead so of course hottie Craig would cheat on her.

James Scott played EJ kind of fluid when he first came on. I remember EJ at the police station flirting with a male officer to get him to uncuff him from the chair. There were some other scenes but they never went very far with it.

With Dan in the role and his chemistry with the cast I'd be down for bi/fluid EJ.

I wasn't regularly watching during the era, but I can picture smirking Will (before I knew he did it all the time) in EJ's office, and things getting pretty homoerotic between them. It would have worked a lot better than EJ and Abby.

You are conveying this absolutely perfectly. I have been ranting about it in the spoiler section and you succinctly and calmly exposed the various things that are problematic about this: the fact this obviously came to their mind because KS is gay, the fact Nancy/Craig are a particular bad couple to do this to and the fact RC will make a joke out of it.

This was discussed as soon as he was cast actually.
His instagram had a lot of content that indicated, say, sympathies for arguments usually made by Trump supporters and he follows all the big figures from MAGA world.
Not sure if something new has come up since.

I really didn't need to see Johnny sucking the blood off his finger after Gabi slapped him. WTF

I love Carson but not a fan of JoDevil. The scenes with Allie were good.

I love Paulina and I'd love to see her go after some of the DiMera fortune. Give me that storyline. I laughed when she told Chanel to stay out of grown folks business.

Kristen waving a gun around is so tired.

I'm really enjoying Abby right now. Finally who character who gets to be smart.

I hate Rafe. He acts like Ava is so awful when he's the one who keeps cheating.

Chanel (and Paulina) going after the DiMera money will be fun.

Tripp's reactions to Paulina made me laugh. He's just kind of like, "huh? Lady you crazy."

It doesn't get much worse than JoDevil with Gabi. They really possessed Johnny just so he could be extra horny and want to take over DiMera. Awful, awful, awful.

I don't get why Rafe doesn't just break up with Ava?  He's already on to her game, so what difference does it make if he dumps her?  I totally tune out in their scenes so maybe I missing some sort of nuance to their relationship that makes this charade between them make sense.

    • Overall I was impressed with this week and fall out from the revealation.  I am looking forward to seeing the Nicole/Dana showdown next week.  I do wonder if June is going to be tied to Hayley.
    • I thought Adam and Sara got married? Although I do not remember any mention of her when Adam returned for Blake's weddings. But MA certainly got the short end of the stick storywise, as Marland's obsession with therapy reared it's head.
    • Didn’t Meg Bennett return to SFT as a writer in the last few years. I always wondered if they tried to get her back as Liza.
    • Millette Alexander got the short end of the stick once they killed off Joe. The Justin thing was a non-starter. Then she was briefly married to Alan's corrupt lawyer and HE was killed off. She was paired briefly with Adam and that ended because she believed Holly over Roger about the rape. Definitely, Marland had zero interest in her except as the therapist for the many, many of his female characters who needed therapy. It's not odd she left the show. One of the rare 1978 episodes on YT shows Alan going to Cedars for a physical check-up. He ends up with Sarah as his doctor. In between making mysoginistic comments about women doctors, he also openly flirts with her. It's very obvious they were chem testing Sarah and Alan. It's a really good scene. Bernau is both obnoxious and charming and Millette is amazing, trying to be pleasant and profesional without rolling her eyes at him, but at the same time maybe a LITTLE bit attracted to him. An interesting what-might-have-been. So it appears the Dobsons were actively looking for someone to pair her with, they just never found the right one for a long-term story.

You've inspired me to add my 2 cents about this product placement debacle.  I absolutely HATE the way they are doing product placement in BTG. I really hope this doesn't catch on or evolve into more and more of these moments. It's incredibly off-putting to place them in a highly dramatic moment where we are still on the emotional journey with the character. What is next - Dani spraying the house while having a nervous breakdown? It makes me not want to buy the product they're selling. LOL. That's just me.
    • I always get the vibe that Martin/Smitty have an emotional abusive relationship set up... but I doubt the show will really go there with that element given that Martin is a Dupree (and we can't have the Duprees be portrayed in a negative light), and because it's a gay male relationship.   Even though abuse in the physical or emotional sense is a huge thing in a lot of gay and lesbian relationships. The Ashley/Naomi scene reads off to me for one reason....  Ashley was talking about the new scandal without any sort of mention and/or subtext.. considering she knew both Silk Press Sheila and Eva.  I'm not sure if the writers have forgotten, if Jen Jacobs isn't able to play subtext, or what.   It's just apparent the writers do not know how to write a young white millennial couple.. and perhaps they need to get a younger white script writer to be on staff... or let the actors play around with the lines to make them more natural/realistic.
    • This is as good a time as any to point out that the 90 minute show was, what I like to call  "cockamamie idea" of Fred Silverman, head of NBC Daytime Programming. He did so well at ABC & CBS but not so NBC. We learned this from a WOST interview with Pete Lemay, 2006, can be found on YouTube, audio only. Now, to be clear, Rauch was completely behind it. Only Lemay fought against it & eventually quit over it.
