This Louise story is stupid. Since Tracy has most of it figured out, why wouldn't Brooklyn and Maxie just explain to her that they're doing this to protect the baby from Peter? That way Tracy won't spill the beans to everyone. Dumb.

I love how Dante wants to hear all the details about Sonny and Nina. And I loved Ava's glee over hearing about what happened at Nina's trial.

This is the same bs they used for keeping Valentin in the dark and having Chase claim to be the father. Poor decision making and it’s making the characters look even more dumb than they were before.

Meanwhile poor Wendy is falling for the “media hype”

Luke’s “death” has gotten GH more press than they’ve had in a long time so I guess mission accomplished? I don’t know why but it feels a little gross doing this while Geary is still alive. I was no Luke fan but still.

The whole thing is just bizarre.

Let's say Luke really is dead. I mean a cable car accident, really? Lol. And the timing is just so bizarre. None of his kids are on the show and it really doesn't affect that much at this point. Luke hasn't been relevant to the canvas in years honestly. So it's like... why? Why now? It would've made more sense to do this when Geary first retired.

Let's say it's a fake death. Again... why? Does anyone actually think Geary is going to return to the U.S. to play some back from the dead story? Of course not. Whether this death is real or fake, I just don't get the point.

Maybe I'm wrong and some huge story will be generated from this, but right now I'm just not seeing it.

It's also annoying because we're still watching the town mourn Jason, and now we have to see everyone mourn Luke too. Plus a dead baby. It's just so much death and doom and gloom.

I'm not seeing it either.  If Laura were still single and/or pining for Luke, I'd get it.  At the very least, Luke's death would allow her to move on.  And if Luke weren't really dead, then having him pop back up when Laura and her new beau were about to get married or something would provide a good, classic, soapy twist (provided, of course, Tony Geary wanted to return and play out that scenario, which we know he doesn't, lol).

However, Laura moved on years ago with Kevin.  So, what's the point?

Especially since Kevin is aware and acknowledged how important he is to Laura.  So it’s not going to cause issues there!

JZ just about broke my heart though.  She and Genie were good in those scenes.  But it feels like a plot point and not an actual story.  So far.

And there really is no good reason why the show isn’t using Lucky, even as a recast (except of course Frank needing Liz for his friends).  It’s time.  Lulu too.

Although I didn’t care for her Lulu, it was kind of strange.  They brought back Dante and got rid of her.  I wasn’t sure if it was a contract thing or a budget thing (or both).  But again- we still have ME and RH, both flopping about in characters that could leave at any moment.

Agreed GH needs to bring back Lucky and Lulu.   I'd prefer Greg Vaughan as Lucky, maybe even Jacob Young now that he's older and doesn't have the bleach blonde hair.  I liked Jonathan Jackson as a kid, teen & 20's, but after that didn't care for him, since he looked too young for the part and IMHO is overrated as an adult actor.  I hope they'd bring back Julie Berman a Lulu, but would be ok with Emme Rylan as well.

Good episode today. Even the cliffhanger was pretty good. I do like seeing angry Carly. Laura always plays that so well.

The image of Chase holding Baby Bailey/Louise in the baby sling was adorable and I like that he's starting to pick up on Brook Lynn's feelings for him.

And I love the idea of Spencer working at the gallery and Trina being his boss. Hopefully, Esme will be so distracted causing problems for Joss and Cam (i.e. seducing Cam) that she won't be able to see Sprina growing closer until it's too late.

Frank's revenge, for Mo forcing him to hire back Dominic Zamprogna and having to fire his OLTL friend

Clearly he doesn't see that the title of 'Next Luke and Laura' is reserved for Sprina

I do like Brando/Sasha though and I hope the writers invest in them more.

This is blasphemy to me. If JJ was actually willing to come back full time there’s no other option IMO. I don’t think he wants that though since he moved his family to Ireland, so I would be willing to accept a recast but neither JY or GV is right for the part. JJ embodied the Spencer in Lucky and as the only one on the canvas someone with that same character is needed.

Loved seeing Trina and Spencer today, with Ava pushing them together. And finally Spencer admitted he led her on, which is a start. Also some good moments with Cam and Esme. I don’t remember angry Cam but like Esme I wouldn’t mind seeing that. Anyway crazy chick is gonna drug the whole cabin! Can’t wait.

Finn and Liz are super boring and Nina needs to stop being so damn nice about Sonny. But good show today.

    • Good Morning, this is still funny to me but I totally enjoyed what makes up "DemetriKane" so unnecessary, who cares?!!! Glad you like the Emma Peel derivative story.
    • Christian Streaty penned today's Day's script. https://www.linkedin.com/in/christian-streaty/
    • Yes, they did.  I still have them.  I think there were three.  AMC and GH as well.
    • Ah okay, thats what I thought. I was hoping I missed the announcement somewhere. Thanks for the clarification.
    • A new day in Salem… and a new day for Days.  I like the way everybody found out and absorbed the news about John’s death, and how they all eventually found their way to Marlena’s to offer their condolences. I’m not particularly sure why they waited until the next day to tell everybody but I don’t really mind it.  We finally got Roman’s perspective! His scenes with Kayla were one of the best parts of today. I’m glad that Roman is thankful for everything that John did for his kids. I agree with posters who said that he should’ve had a scene like this with John, but I’m happy we got this at least.  Julie was used very well today too. She’s definitely the best person for Marlena to have scenes with at the moment. Hopefully, Julie continues to be there for her. And yes, I totally agree with Marlena and Belle sending EJ away when he came to the apartment. I’m curious to see what’s going to happen to his and Belle’s relationship in the aftermath of all this. And, while I enjoyed most of Brady and Kristen’s scenes, I still think the ship has sailed for them. Hopefully, the aftermath of John’s death causes Brady to finally end this thing with her once and for all.  And, I see a lot of people were wearing some kind of shade of purple today.

    • Wow, I love that current and former actors are participating in this. I barely recognize Staci Greason! She looks fine, just very different. But I will be happy to hear anecdotes from her. I shipped RoJohn and Isabella hard back in the day, and I sobbed buckets in my dorm room at college when Izzy B passed. Honestly, I'm interested in everyone's stories. Drake seemed like he was well loved among the cast.
    • When she first appeared, I was sure she was setting Tyrell up for a prank. She was too much of a manic pixie dream girl- I wasn't surprised Tyrell also became suspicious. Now I'm not so sure. If Jessica genuinely likes Tyrell, it seems like a missed opportunity to not have started her out as a bully, then we see her gradually catch feelings for Tyrell.  The McBrides are definitely the "C" family of BTG. They always get last priority. There have been a few times where the Doug/Vanessa/Joey characters reference off screen conversations which seem too important to not show us. Like when Doug thanked Joey for giving him extra time to pay off the loan. When did that happen? Or when we abruptly moved from Vanessa/Joey at Uptown to Vanessa/Doug in the hotel room. The McBrides don't even have their own set - even though Vanessa is a realtor. It's a shame because I am a fan of the characters and actors.

I am also adjusting to KR as Ted but I feel that AM and MJ had way more chemistry as father and daughter than AM and KR. We saw Eva dream of having a real relationship with MJ's version of Ted for months so it's a bit of a bummer not to have that payoff with the original actor except for those scenes in MJ's last episode.  Something I noticed about Eva today is how she takes genuine delight in being a schemer. As badly as she wants to be a Richardson, she still has so much of her mom in her. It was jarring seeing her earnestly promise to steer clear of Leslie in her scene with Ted, then immediately switch attitudes when her mom showed up.  I'm very surprised with how quickly the accident story has been moving along. I was sure that it would be months if not years before people figured out it was Leslie on the motorcycle, not to mention responsible for the potassium overdose. I'm looking forward to seeing how MVJ and Guza avoid writing Leslie into a corner.  Finally, I have been loving the Articulettes story. Bonita Brisker was just the right amount of OTT - remember Sharon is supposed to be even more angry than Tracy is. If Sharon didn't come in swinging, people would say she fell flat. The way Sharon and Tracy describe the breakup is so Supremes-meet-Original Recipe Destiny's Child. I get the sense that MVJ is re-writing the Return to Love Tour as a roman a clef, and I love it. I'm looking forward to finding out what the secret they share is. If Dante Green is as shady as Berry Gordy was, it's something dark. If/when they go through with the reunion, I expect Dante to show up and claim to own the Articulettes trademark in a Lou Pearlman-esque twist.
