Members LondonScribe
We may have had a similar conversation before, and I said what I’m going to say now. Nobody wrote like Bill Bell. Not even his own son. Definitely not Josh Griffith. Watch an episode from now and watch an episode from 1991. Take the production and music away and just focus on the writing and characterisation, the psychology. It’s not even close. I don’t normally speak in absolutes but it’s important to address this point. Edited November 5, 2021 by LondonScribe
Members titan1978
Even Kay Alden had her own style, which was in the Bell mold but she told stories solo differently than she did while writing with Bell.
Members Broderick
Josh Griffith usually avoids over-the-top melodrama in his writing. That's about the only similarity that I've noticed. Their styles seem completely different to me.

Members Chris B
Even Brad isn't as bad as Josh Griffith. Brad has spurts of energy to his show, Josh has none.
Members Forever8
True. Josh acts as if he is writing one of his novels with all of these backstories of side characters the audience have little to no care about.
Members Liberty City
Josh Griffith avoids drama, period. While I believe Bradley Bell is a hack and long overdue for replacement, I will say his writing is still strong in its execution, even if the story-dictated dribble he's been forcing on us for the past ten-to-fifteen years has been subpar in non-quality. Members sheilaforever
RIP she had indeed a very long career in soap opera writing. According to IMDb she started off as writers assistant at GH in 1987. Since 1989, she has worked on various soaps consecutively. B&B and Days being her longest stints. Administrator Toups Posted November 21, 2021 Author Administrator Share Posted November 21, 2021 That's sad to hear. She was one of those writers who barely gets talked about, but she's worked in daytime for such a long time. RIP Elizabeth.
