I don’t think she is the mother, but I do think Gwen doesn’t know the full story. I’ve never seen Flannery as a heroine so I can’t picture it, although I’d love to see some of her in the role. Then again, Laura herself went through so much when she came apart psychologically, and I can't see Flannery playing THAT storyline either.
