My actual reaction "Holy sh!t black people".

Don't know their work but they're both beautiful. Ptosha Storey reminds me of Diahann Carroll.

If anyones anyone's wondering

From SOD "Amanda is getting backstory. They are recurring, but are significant roles that will interconnect with Amanda’s personal journey"

Awesome, Leigh-ann Rose looks a lot like Mishael Morgan, I bet her character "Imani Benedict" will be Amanda & Hilary's sister.  And it looks like Ptosha Storey's "Naya Benedict" could be the biological mother, or an aunt or older sister, or they could be cousins.

It looks like SOD pulled that tidbit out of their story, unless it's in the magazine as well?

Hmm...even though they pulled it from their front page, the original story is still available online if you just change the URL: https://www.soapoperadigest.com/content/yr-casts-two-new-roles/ (their webmaster or content manager is horrible at their job, btw).

Lets see where they're at in 6 months

Totally 💯. Been burned too many times by this show not to be skeptical. But will keep an eye out.

That's funny since I'm slowly binging YOUNGER.

That said...I don't know how I feel. I like how they look, but I worry they might try to write any Winters out as they come in rather than just slowly bring them in. Rather than you know...write for everybody.

It’s very telling that as soon as I clicked into the topic and saw they were black people, my immediate thought was “so, which Winter/Hamilton/Hastings is being written out to make this possible?”

SOD finally changed their original article link to a "Not Found" notice ("Sorry, we made a wrong turn on the Red Carpet").  So their article referencing Amanda is gone.

Now only SOD's second article link (which doesn't mention Amanda) is viewable.

https://www.soapoperadigest.com/content/yr-casts-two-new-roles2/

But TVLine is still quoting the now-deleted SOD article here:

https://tvline.com/2020/12/09/grownish-season-3b-premiere-date-freeform/

And this site is also quoting the now-deleted SOD article

https://www.blackfilmandtv.com/tvnews/ptosha-storey-leigh-ann-rose-join-the-young-and-the-restless

Daytime Confidential's article originally said the new characters would be "involved in Amanda's storyline" but they quickly edited that part out.

SOD print magazine mentions the actresses, characters, and debut of Dec 24, but doesn't mention Amanda.
