Wouldn’t Liberty order something to wrap Steffys ribs in? It looks like that is where her pain is.  She would need to have a nanny/housekeeper pick up Kelly’s toys.

She doesn’t need to become a junkie.

This is a beautiful and funny post.

I mean did Ridge have to even run off?  It’s a legal matter.

The stuff on this show is much worse than the lack of story on Y&R.

Brooke crying like an idiot in the dark — as if she hasn’t been through worse a dozen times...Ridge acting helpless and defenseless as Shauna walks into his bedroom... Shauna portraying another embarrassing Brad Bell female who throws herself at a guy and is ready to do her wifely duties. Is this 1957?

The Steffy in pain story is no better. My God, the writing is wretched.

I was off a con call a little early so I watched for about 10 minutes at the end.  What is with all the angst with Brooke when Ridge offers up an annulment?  People on this show get annulments after 2 years and get married the same week.  So a few days is a big deal for Brooke?  She used to ride the $Bill Stallion any chance she could get and she's apparently worried about a 72 hour marriage?  Maybe stuff like this happened on Soaps all along and I just didn't notice.  And what else is so dumb - he said he had no memory of any of Vegas.  And tiny brained Brooke wouldn't be able to connect that Shauna and Quinn are besties, and the whole thing doesn't sound right?

It’s all so bad. Seeing Eric lecture Ridge is cringeworthy, and Quinn just repeats the same lines day after day.

Shauna is embarrassing — all star struck in love when she knows Ridge doesn’t even want her. We just went through that with Sally embarrassing herself over Wyatt. Then there’s Steffy looking like a dreg every day.

The only thing worth looking at was Thomas in the tight jersey and pants.

I saw pictures of him.  Can't the guys even shave?  Shave your face and wash your hair and use a 4 comb on the trimmer and some Pomade.    It's not like COVID keeps you from shaving at home.  I just don't think he's hot at all.  He looks like butthead or beavis - can't remember which one.  But then again maybe I take that back.  Ridge/Thorsten has never been able to shave.  He must have really bad skin from acne as a teen or something.  At some point you'd think he could find a razor.

I love how Ridge tells Brooke that they are "meant to be" and he "knew it from the first time he ever saw her" Oh really? How many times have the two of you broken up/divorced????? how many other women have you been with/married in between your many marriages with Brooke? If you were meant to be and you always knew it, why keep divorcing her?

    • I think Jason might've posted some numbers for the syndication a while ago and the numbers for Falcon Crest was horrible. Like 1.5 rating or something, which was terrible.    ETA: it was actually Paul Raven:   New to syndication 60 min Fall Guy 67 markets 3.1/8 Falcon Crest 110 markets 1.1/5 To get into the top 40, you needed a 4.6/9 rating for reference - and Falcon Crest managed to get into a lot of markets to begin with. In the fall of 1985 Dynasty, Dallas and Knots were syndicated (show / rating / share / coverage % / markets): Dallas 3.4 10 51.7 92 Dynasty 3.4 10 48.7 47  Knots Landing 3.3 10 12.5 20  So, Knots as an example trippled Falcon Crest's rating with 20 markets - I'm sure those were major ones but it just goes to show you how much Falcon Crest bombed in syndication.
    • It's not bad but the stories move too slow. It's the same problem when Dan O'Connor was CO-HW with Van Etten, they have a million stories and they all drag on endlessly with no resolution. I'd argue the majority of the stories airing now are good but you get sick of waiting months for something to happen.
    • Thanks. I must have missed that period entirely for Lifetime.
    • Thanks. I know Marland did that type of thing sometimes but it's less likely with these characters. I don't even remember Alex ever mentioning him.
    • French fan summary Rusty took over Simon's job at Lewis Trucking after Simon transferred to Lewis Oil's North Carolina office to live near Jessie and Calla. I doubt they would bother following up a story for offscreen characters eg marriage and a baby.
    • I suspected that the performance with the reveal was the reason why the Ted actor got the axe and it looks like I was right. He wasn't really good at conveying what needed to be conveyed in those scenes. Claybon is at least slowly improving (but I agree that he still needs to work on his line delivery), but I do wonder what will happen when his big reveal is coming up.
    • I've already asked this before, recently, but can anyone who watched those years more closely tell me if anything said about Jessie and Simon at the end of their profiles is accurate (about them marrying, naming a baby after Brandon/Lujack, etc.)?
    • Nicole is way too smart to not know she was carrying twins - she's a doctor! My guess is that Leslie did abort her baby out of fear, and as payback, stole Ted and Nicole's child (Eva), and stole Kat from another family to replace her in the hospital.
    • Those Soap Central profiles have a lot of incorrect info. According to SOD summaries and the Daytime Newsletter of the time,Tim left town for a new job and Pam reunited with the father of her baby and also departed Springfield. They did not marry.
    • Do we believe that Jabot is at the level of Estee Lauder?? I am on board with Jabot deciding to expand but the way it was handled was ridiculous. Jabot just decided and bingo, that was that. Not months of negotiations and decisions about how it would fit into the Jabot portfolio. And then no follow through. Josh thinks he's serving business stories by characters sitting around and discussing mergers, takeovers and job switching. Now we have Audra setting up her own company -Vibrator or something. Well, why not? You don't need staff, office space or even products.
