MARCI MILLER TO RETURN AS ABIGAIL DiMERA...

Marci Miller will be returning to "Days of Our Lives" as Abigail DiMera. The news was first confirmed at Daytime Royalty, No word yet on a first airdate.

Is this short term?

Every actor on Days is short term.

Whaaaaat. I didn't mind Marci as much as some people did, but after seeing Kate Mansi again, I'd rather Abigail just stay gone unless she's portraying her.

She was a much better actress IMO, so I’m happy she’s back. She had a very old school soap feel to me. I could see her having great success in primetime and film. 

She's too good for the show, but this merry go round of Abbys is ridiculous. Corday always makes insane impulsive choices.

Yeah I like her better in the role

MM's Abby is so bland and weak. I prefer KM's stronger version.

She was terrible in the role. Bland, low energy and weak and she had chemistry with no one. 

 

They should rest the character if Kate Mansi doesn't want to be on contract.

That said...ugh. I just don't feel that RC feels inspired when she writes MM Abby vs when KM Abby is around. And worse, it shows.

The writing for them is night and day. Like, they're not even the same character...

Oh god, you've gotta to be kidding me. Her Abby was so damn bland and emotionless. I'd rather Abby be off canvas if Mansi isn't playing her.

Another round of musical Abbys?

Yikes. Again? I'd rather have Mansi.

 

I mean, Ron did write Miller's Abby *slightly* better but he seemed to really enjoy writing for Mansi's version. I'd prefer a happy medium somehow. Write to Miller's actual personality, believe it or not she has one. Not sure why she played Abigail like she was drugged up the entire time.

 

I think she's capable but she didn't make the best choices on DAYS unless they told her how to be. When the writing got better you saw some fire in her Abby. So ... we'll see. Whatever.

 

I'm tired of the back and forth for a number of reasons but also because it makes it hard for continuity/flashbacks, etc.

 

It could just be short term and Mansi wasn't available and Miller was? Did Mansi really NOT want a contract? Did DAYS drive her away?
