Robert Newman as Caleb Cortlandt.  Caleb had potential but was played by a very stiff actor.  I remember seeing a photo of La Lucci and Robert together, laughing backstage, and there was definitely chemistry between the two.

I could buy Roberts Newman and Gentry as cousins.

I think that Alexandra Moltke Iles (Victoria Winters on Dark Shadows) would have been a terrific Jillian Coleridge on Ryan's Hope.

I think Jessica Collins would make a good Kristen Forrester recast on The Bold and The Beautiful. 

Colleen Zeno would make a good Margo Lynley, role that was originally played by Lauren Kozlow. If the show has any interest in reviving the character, which could help revamp the in Eric Forrester character by providing some interest.

I think that actor Anthony Geary (Bright Promise, General Hospital) could easily have played Tony Lord on One Life to Live.   (He may have been too old, though, to play opposite Jacqueline Courtney.)

Tony Geary was born in 1947, and Jacquie Courtney in 1946, so they were very close in age, but I honestly cannot picture them having believable romantic chemistry on screen.

For some reason, this doesn't make any sense in my head at all. I think because Jacquie has passed and she came to prominence on soaps a decade or so earlier.

When JC's popularity really started to soar on Another World (in the late 1960s or so), she was still in her early 20s. When TG inexplicably became popular as the slimy Luke Spencer on General Hospital (late 1970s), he was already in his early 30s.

Visually and acting-wise, I think they would have been woefully mismatched on screen, regardless of their ages.

If Grayson Hall hadn't died more than a decade earlier, I could see James E. Reilly wanting her as Tabitha on PASSIONS.

The Spauldings needed a gothic powerful sexiness that was lost with RR (who would have made a great Mike Bauer) and Marj Dusay (who would have made a great..anyone but Alex.)

Ha..actually, I could see him making her Tabitha's nosy neighbor and nemises who was interested in the supernatural...(i.e. the only person in Harmony who wasn't in a coma and saw what was going on...) Gladys

I would have liked that Lara Parker got Any Important role in a Soap after DS ended it's a shame she didn't get nothing but guest roles in series after that she got so much to offer I remember watching her in an episode of Police Woman and Loving it
