Members janea4old
For an *uplifting* video of Tyre Nichols: Here he is skateboarding - a true artist. His mother stated "we want to build a memorial skate park for Tyre, in honor of his love for skating and sunsets. Members Juliajms
I don't either. Watching a man beg for his mother while he's beaten to death isn't going to do my mental health any favors. As you say, it's not going to change anything. I've seen people murdered on video twice and I never intend to see it again. I do hope we can change policing in this country, but I'm not holding my breath.

Members DramatistDreamer
Stanley Nelson has made a really good documentary on Harriet Tubman, which I just came across by happenstance. Has anyone seen it?

Members DramatistDreamer
I have read a few articles about this now and the fact that the only officials who actually had the courage to face the public were all Black is pretty insulting but on brand for the Ivy League (and most American universities and colleges, to be honest). https://www.theguardian.com/us-news/2024/feb/04/stolen-and-disrespected-museum-inters-200-year-old-remains-of-black-philadelphians?ref=upstract.com
