Oh that’s very sad to hear. It was mentioned here a year ago that she had to take time away from her role as supervising producer on Y&R for “a personal reason,” and Josh Griffith stepped in as a temporary replacement.

Sad news.  She had a long daytime career. Her season of GH:Night Shift made me wish she and Sri Rao had taken over the main show.

My Passions EP.  :(   She started as in intern on OLTL in the early 80's and has been consistently working on soaps ever since then (the recognition of a really good producer).   Like Michael Logan said, she never wanted the glory, she was never egotistical.  She had a great reputation, a very nice person, and a great person to work for/with from what I heard.

RIP Lisa.  Thank you for making Jim Reilly's vision come to life on Passions.  👏

So Sad! :(  as a fan of Passions my heart goes out to her and her family, as well as her other soap families she produced.

RIP!

This is just too sad. I really enjoyed what I saw of her work. She will be missed.

IIRC, OLTL's then-HW, S. Michael Schnessel, named Carlo Hesser after her.  (She was going by "Lisa Smith Hesser" in those days, I think.)
