Kin Shriner is reporting on Twitter that Susan Brown passed away today. Of course, Susan portrayed Gail Baldwin on General Hospital and Port Charles. I recall first becoming a fan of Ms. Brown's work when she played Constance MacKenzie Carson on Return to Peyton Place.

I adored her for decades.

 

May she rest in peace.

 

I loved that she was used well on the spin-off  Port Charles.  She had a likable and warm vibe.  So sad

I enjoyed Susan Brown's performance as Gail on "GH" so much.  To me, she embodied what made actresses of the 60s popular:  a somewhat breathy speaking style, and a quiet elegance that is so endearing.  May she rest in peace.

I remember Brown as the first Adelaide Fitzgibbon on ATWT in the late 1980s.

I loved Gail and Lee.  Maybe more than Scotty.  Sad news.

I can hear her slight exasperation when saying Monica or Scotty in my head so clearly.

Do they still refer to him as Scotty?  Christine got most of Genoa City to stop calling her Cricket, you would think the former DA would want to use the more mature Scott Baldwin, esq..

I just saw this. So sad. Susan had such a wonderful voice - so soothing, but with a soft edge to it. I always thought she could have had so much more to do as Gail. 

 

I have not seen her biggest soap roles, but I really liked her on ATWT, as Kirk's old lover/mentor. That was a departure for her.

Until the day I die, he will always be Scotty to me. Just like Blake and Rick on TGL were always REALLY Chrissy and Freddie.
