The Liam and Steffy half hour bonanza!

Nothing but Liam and Steffy

The only soap opera on air that has 1 storyline!

How Exciting!

OMG- Brad Retire from writing, hire some new writer, and get some stories going.

This is the first time I have ever thought of taking B&B off my DVR.

I've been complaining about Liam for a long time now. He was finally shelved only for Brad to bring in Sheila and other nonsense stories. Bradley Bell is not his father's son where great writing is concerned. He sucks...

I'm counting the days for several weeks /months? now: hoping that June 15 will be the turning point. This upcoming week seems to be the moment where all those actors who were rejected to glorious extras for several months are back with an actual storyline. Hopefully decent to good and lasting ones...

Emma annoys the hell out of me.  I didn't even realize she's been on contract for a while now.  I was hoping she'd just disappear once Forrester Creations moved on to a new fashion line, but now it looks like they're involving her in a "summer teen story."  They're probably recycle RJ's story from last year.

The fashion show stuff with Hope was SO BAD, especially her “dancing” and suggestions for improving the runway show.

And then the insta-romance with Zende replacement Xander was even worse. NONE of these characters were introduced properly...or at all.

In addition, Katie’s insta-breakup with Wyatt was cringeworthy. These are execs and writers with ZERO respect for the audience. They just don’t care about us.

She sounds like she has something in her mouth or her tongue is in the way.

Those scenes with her "dancing" were just HORRIBLE.  WTF????  And to have Emma criticize the models for being too stiff ... Lawd!

I'd rather watch the oddly incestous brother/sister vibe of RJ and Sally's sister in another PSA story than this mess.  At least those actors had a bit of charm to them.

This can't be real, this has to be some Brad Bell plot to get us begging for more Liam/Steffy, right?

I was glad to see Mr. and Mrs. Avant yesterday. It looks like yesterday was the start of some new storylines, (Xander arriving in town, Thorne/Katie.) I hope these and other storylines get focused on for a bit and we get a break from Steffy and Liam. They can reunite with baby Kelly and go to the backburner. I am glad they weren't on yesterday.

Julius already seems suspicious of Xander. I wonder what secret Xander may be hiding and why does he really want to pretend to be from America. Julius also didn't speak too kindly of his brother and I wonder if he will show up some time during this storyline. I also think that Xander looks like Maya, they do look like family.

Also, Wyatt and Katie did end abruptly but I am glad they addressed how awkward it was for her to be dating her young son's brother. I am looking forward to seeing what happens with Thorne and Katie, now that Wyatt and her have broken up.

I started watching B&B a bit again last week since I don't know how long and I like that they use the classic opening tune again.

The Steffy/Liam/Hope triangle is back and as dreary as that one is I still think there's so much potential with them that never fully materialized. It just never really quite works, does it? But at the same time it will always intrigue me. I must admit I do miss Kim Matula now that Hope is back.

And sorry but nuThorne looks awful. Why not just use the other actor. I hope this one will be off the canvas soon but I've been hoping that with Thorsten Kaye too and he's still there 4.5 years later.

That part where Emma knocked Xander out was really awkward and corny.

    • Am I remembering correctly that the Madison's lived in a Spanish revival-style house? I have a vague recollection of the fireplace looking especially Spanish in style. It is unusual that Montecello had so many architectural styles.  Obviously, that might occur IRL.  But, look at other east coast soaps and there is a definitive style that is throughout (because it was styled by a set decorator) regardless of the income of the occupants.
    • @kalbir MSW was a powerhouse for CBS. Angela Lansbury was a superb actress. In 1985, TV viewers were tiring of the primetime soaps and the like. People wanted storytelling and MSW was great at that and had great guest stars. Storytelling -- an amazing and novel concept. CBS Daytime by 1985 was beating ABC so CBS was on the upswing.
    • I'd say just the opposite - conflict means they will find out and then be at odds. For the limited amount of time people on this show have conflict (if they aren't named Nina or Ric, I guess).
    • Totes mcgoats (aka I agree). But, now the character needs to move forward.  Clyde's exit was 12/11/24.  It is May.  She and Chad have been on one date. I don't think they've slept together. And she was only planning on sticking around for a year.
    • That is one of the best insults I've heard in a long time.  I burst out laughing when Kat called Eva that.  LOL Their scenes, of course, were really good.  Colby and Ambyr have so much chemistry.  The only thing I'd change is Kat saying "you're dead to me."  That's a phrase usually said about someone you care about.  I would've preferred something like "You will never be my sister," or something similar to that.  Nice contrast at the end with both mothers/daughters:  Kat comforting/consoling her mother, and Eva being locked out by her mother.  Yeah, I wasn't a big of fan of the singing either, especially after your daughter's life has been destroyed.  What?  LOL And I also agree with those that thought Dana/Leslie's scenes with the Dupree's didn't feel right since Eva is not a Dupree....unless she is.  But as of right now, she's not.
    • Trisha Mann-Grant, Ambyr Michelle, Sean Freeman are destined for bigger and better things. They need to move on as soon as their initial contracts are done.
    • Daphnée Duplaix and Trisha Mann-Grant on Instagram live, 5/5/2025 just concluded, saved here https://www.instagram.com/p/DJSsYb7PDv8/
    • I really need to see Anita in a scene that isn't with a family member. In fact, I would have preferred that she would have gotten rid of the mob and had a one on one with Leslie to lay down the law with her.  I'm going to say it, Mike Manning has been completely lifeless on this show. Other than people's superficial fondness for him, I don't get what they see in him as an actor. I never saw him on DAYS though. The show had another really strange cut right before the opening credits where it looked like they almost cut off Nicole mid-sentence.  Kat/Eva are carrying this show on their backs. Lock them in for lifetime contracts, I beg.
    • There's a 1980 scene of Victor and Katherine in the Chancellor Estate living room where they went over a contract that would put Victor in charge of Chancellor Industries, but it was rewritten that Katherine brought Victor to Genoa City so he could run Chancellor Industries.
    • Put me in the minority in being happy about Cat not being Abby. After the two adult recasts played tag with the role, it's time for a few years of rest. I have a huge list of things I hate about RC's writing, but that choice was not one of them.
