Soooo...apart from SS & KA leaving, were there any other changes to the writing team?  It looks like they still have the same breakdown and script folks from SS's tenure.  Anyway, I'm not sure it's the writing, as I tend to gravitate to the underdog/antagonist.  Although with Chel's story, Phyllis sure comes off as the antagonist lol

I don't think anyone here is "taking credit" for Mal's work.  They simply pointed out that they've posted a similar story idea as what is being shown and tongue-in-cheek said he read the forum and used it :)  It's been done under every regime, not just Mal's.

Fair.

But you can't criticize someone's work constantly, and then take credit for something you might have pitched years ago. Just give credit where it's due, without the half hearted attempt.

With that said, I'm just enjoying the show for what it is. And right now, it's enjoyable on a day to day basis. In terms of longevity at its pace, I can admit it might not be sustainable. I'd hate for it to become like FOX's Empire in terms of story-telling (admittedly I gave up on the show).

LOL Your Nick abuse is always good stuff, even if I don’t agree.

I admit I’m a Josh Morrow fan, both of his looks and laid back and genuine portrayal of Nick. Nick DOES deserve better than a deceitful, lying partner.

(S)Mooching off Chelsea? Don’t think so. He gave away the money he sued Victor for. Doesn’t mean he lost other money he had....trust fund, etc.

He doesn’t work? He’s rehabbing an apt. building, and that’s good enough for me. Besides, the people on this show with “real jobs” don’t work, either.

He's forgotten about Faith? Uh....we all know that when kids aren’t seen on soaps, we’re not suppos3d to assume the parents are missing or terrible. Time and time again, Nick has been shown to be a great and loving dad, and JM’s comfort level with kids and babies is obvious.

He looks like a bum? I think Nick is hot. If you don’t like him, take a seat. More for me.

He’s weak as Victor pointed out? Wow. Now we’re taking the word of VICTOR on a character’s worth LOL. Give me Nick’s supposed weakness before Victor’s supposed strength any day.

So yeah, I think Phyllis pretty much nailed it.

Yeah I agree. The Nick/Joshua Morrow hate is weird. The guy can be lazy, but for the most part JM steps up when the occasion calls. I also find his scenes opposite Eric Braeden to be some of his best work.

You've never been in a film criticism workshop have you?  :P  I didn't realize there were rules for critiquing the show on this board.  I guess I'll remain silent on all of it.

Wow, getting one's work critiqued is a part of the writing process. I'm glad I'm not as sensitive as some folks are.  But hey, I'll definitely censor myself and likely post a lot less from now on.  There's just no interest in passively watching, at least not for me.

I hope you don’t leave the board. Your insights are highly valued, speaking for myself.

Thanks. I'll probably be in the other threads.

I started a private blog about two weeks ago and only one other member on this board has read its contents but I may open it up.  And a DM is certainly not out of the question. :)

Speak your mind. I don't understand the notion of me telling you to leave as it would be highly silly, nor do I think you should. I don't post here often enough for you to base your decision on my posts either way.

It sounds like you view this show as a film workshop, where you have to look for faults and be critical. That is fine if it is your viewing pleasure. As someone looking at the final product, I'm not as highly critical nor negative, because I think there's a fine line and I also think we have enough of both in today's world.

@DramatistDreamer Love your insightful posts. Don't let some posters rudeness from posting your thoughts on the show.

No need to grandstand.

You can state your own opinion without coming off so rude.

You know, if we're going to go off the edge and get nuts.  I was so hoping someone would remember that Chloe had that upstairs room, by the "secret passageway"  and when that bag of money came falling out, it being Chloe, and her turn around "Hey.  Remember me?"  And have  it be a stash of Victor's Money that he paid to her.  "And I have your husband".  "Were you looking for this?" If we're going to go down the slow alley to hell, let's go do it.

That's nice. Here's a question: Have we stumbled onto your personal Facebook feed? Or are you on an Internet message board discussing television?

If you're looking for genial statements of uncritical conviviality, buy a Precious Moments figurine. Or sit down, scroll past and move on with your life.

Take your own advice please.
