Uma Thurman breaks her silence, and interestingly the major villain of the story is... Quentin Tarantino. And she brought receipts. I wonder if this kills his career.

Clearly McGowan needs help.

I feel bad for her.  Everything that's happened to her and all the years of not being believed have taken a toll on her, imo.  Then add to that HW really did have ex Mossad agents infiltrating her life.  It's not paranoia when they are really after you.  I hope someone in her life is stepping in and making sure she is getting the right therapy.

Yet again, it hits me how respectful (for lack of a better word) Weinstein is even in his refutals (through his reps, of course) of Thurman's allegations, which is a stark contrast to how he responded to Lupita Nyong'o's.  Incredible.  Just incredible.

I hate to say it, but I wish it would.  I think his movies are so damn overrated.

Same.  I'm saying it again: I really do fear for Rose McGowan.

I so agree. Both him and Woody Allen. I’d guess Sony is having buyer’s remorse for taking Tarantino on.

I feel physically ill after reading Uma Thurman's story. I was never a Quinton Tarantino fan, but knowing that he was the director and could have prevented her accident by getting a stunt driver as she had requested makes him just as guilty as Weinstein in my eyes. He failed to protect her.

Judd Apatow can have a seat as well, thank you.

Right with you. Had we not learned of how far HW had gone to hide the truth, would we have believed the Mossad thing?  Sadly, we wouldn't. McGowan was thrown under the bus and trashed as a crazy person by Hollywood when they knew the truth. Rose is wounded and exhausted and I truly hope she gets the help she needs. My heart absolutely breaks for her :(

Maureen Dowd is an awful writer and always has been. She mangles a lot of this beyond comprehensibility.

HA! I saw someone tweet almost exactly that same thing earlier today.

SMH.

I've always liked the characters she's played so that's really hard to watch.

The restaurant business is so competitive, I could easily see his restaurants going under.

It doesn't take much for a business to fail in such a competitive environment and Batali's name and reputation carries a lot of baggage now and I see this continuing for the foreseeable future.  Oh well, hopefully the hard-working staff who was not engaging in misconduct will find other jobs--sounds like they already are.

Batali's restaurants leaving the scene might make way for restaurants run by owner who is respectful of his/her staff.
