Members amybrickwallace
I find it disheartening to think that men in general who are not pigs are a dying breed. Please register in order to view this content
Members DramatistDreamer
This goes beyond actors, beyond Hollywood. It's important to remember that many of the most vocal women (and some men) speaking out are actors, so that may give the impression that it is just actors/directors/producers right now, but it is definitely not the case-- they exist in every walk of life. Another case in point, Michael Fallon, Secretary of Defense in Great Britain just stepped down and word is, that his resignation is over inappropriate conduct. Michael Fallon, U.K. Defense Secretary, Quits Over Inappropriate Conduct Just the other day, three professors at Dartmouth were placed under investigation for sexual misconduct. 3 Dartmouth College professors are being investigated for alleged sexual misconduct And then there is the news chief at NPR... NPR's Head Of News Placed On Leave After Past Harassment Allegations Surface Women are starting to really come forward in other industries now. It's simply that the Hollywood stories get more coverage because of all the perceived "star power".

Members Faulkner
Another detailed, highly disturbing allegation of Spacey molesting a 14-year-old boy in the '80s. From Vulture: http://www.vulture.com/2017/11/kevin-spacey-alleged-sexual-relationship.html
Members DRW50
Geez. It's pretty awful reading that out. Some of the comments were also pretty awful (it looks like some were removed), but Vulture is a trash site, so I'm not surprised.
Members Vee
The Old Vic is now pouring out stories about Spacey's conduct; granted, that's been an open secret for years. He's done.
Members Khan
Oh, he's beyond done. At this rate, he'll be lucky to get work as a fry cook.

Members Juliajms
Good. I'll admit I've always liked him, but I'll never support anyone who commits sexual assault/harassment. All of these people need to be shunned as far as I'm concerned. Beyond that the majority will get away with it as so many before them have done.
Members ChitHappens
Feldman said there was a string of pedos in Hollywood only to be laughed at and blackballed. Look at where we are now!
Members Khan
Yeah, a whole bunch of people owe Corey Feldman a big, fat apology.
Members dragonflies
I truly hope all this coming out brings about true changes, but maybe I'm being skeptical, I don't think it will unfortunately

A lot of people will continue to be afraid to speak up and those who do will be made to pay for it. The best to hope for is that this will help even a few people out there in vulnerable positions.
Members amybrickwallace
Ultimately, that's the only silver lining of this whole mess...that victims will be emboldened to seek help.
Members ChitHappens
Just think about how many people kept working even tho they knew Spacey and Singer preyed on young men and boys. Hell, the Young Vic people knew and did nothing. Can you imagine the number of actresses given career changing roles knowing HW was trash?
