Jamey is teasing this is just the tip of the iceberg so I imagine we have more drama coming up in terms of exits to GH and possibly Y&R drama if they do a Billy switch. It'll be a shame to lose Jason Thompson. Recasts are hard and he's doing well in the role. IMO he's the best Billy since David Tom. I've always found Billy Miller INCREDIBLY overrated. In the end Miller did more harm than good in the role, which is a large reason why David Tom's return didn't work since they tried so hard to pair him with Victoria.

Exactly. There was no scenery left because BM was so busy chewing through it! Though maybe he has toned things down after being on GH.

So does this mean Y&R is going to fire Jason Thompson and replace him with an outgoing from GH Billy Miller?

I hope not.  For the first time since David Tom's initial run, I really enjoy the character of Billy.   Jason Thompson has chemistry with everyone, especially Gina Tognoni, Peter Bergman, Eileen Davidson, and Jess Walton, all of which are key to having a successful Billy.  His Billy is multifaceted, chic, suave, and cunning all at once.   AND he's not humorless (David Tom, Burgess Jenkins) nor is his sense of humor annoying (Billy Miller).

Hell, I'd love it if they threw him at Sharon instead of Victoria and we had a truly viable triangle with Sharon & Phyllis.

Either way, I don't think Miller is going anywhere at GH.  This WREAKS of Jake/Jason re-write.

Honestly, I would've preferred he stay on Y&R to returning to GH. The only way I'd be okay with him on GH is if Billy Miller is leaving (he does have a primetime show rn) and he's simply gonna be Jason again. I don't think the show needs another convoluted Tale of Two Jason story or a new character like Michael Easton did. Sally Sussman did a great job with him on Y&R so it's a shame he left honestly.

Sharon Case does wonders for actors who are limited(Joshua Morrow too) doesn't she? I thought she and Burton worked well. As for Sally....his exist story was just awful. I thought she did an horrible job in writing him off the show.

His exit story had problems, but the way she wrote him made me actually care about him. She made Dylan and Sharon a viable couple and he did interact really well with Christine and Paul who have vanished now that he's gone.

Same here. Sharon made Dylan relevant and Dylan made Sharon seems stable again. They were a good pair and I wish Dylan had stayed around a couple of more years.

There really isn't any mystery to the two Jason story because we all know Steve will be Jason. There's just no question about it.

Agree with all of this. Honestly when he stayed with her once the truth came out, I found myself really enjoying the character.

I started really enjoying Dylan as well, and I thought he paired well with Sharon. I'd rather he have stayed on Y&R.

LOL stahp it, if memories serves me, y'all hated Dylan and was happy he was leaving AFTER Dylan didn't leave BabyNapper!, hoping Dylan would die

Jamey says Burton is return ain't short term!

Up until the Miami Vice escapade that escorted him off the show I liked what they were doing with Dylan, he was a man on a soap allowed to grieve the loss of his child. There was some nice character work there. And his last two days or so was some of the strongest writing I've seen on a soap in years. That said I was excited to see him leave only because his exit wasn't a death or a fake death. He simply...left town. And it was handled with appropriate gravitas.
