Newmans agreed to deal with Victor for show. So she has no choice but to do it to keep up appearances.

Not sure why you think she's not a fan nor why you think her opinion will stop what Sony or CBS dictates? I know she created Phick and likes to brag about it. That story paid dividends for the show so she should be proud. But I can't say it translates to hating shick, of which I've never been a fan.

Line of the week by Nikki. "Gloria is ok, in small doses." lol

It's been awhile since Braeden and Bergman had a confrontation, I'm actually looking forward to it. Also really enjoying Nikki's story, and one thing I found that most regimes got right was the Victor/Nick like/dislike relationship.

Cane and Victoria scenes were also good. This storyline has brought life into Daniel Goddard, about time.

People keep wanting to find out about Graham, but I like the mystery. As the audience why don't we speculate anymore? 2 months is not a long time and Marla Adams has been nothing short of fabulous

For 42? lol - thats still plenty young

AC is amazing as Leslie.

And no, I don't agree with the theory that she shouldn't get a contract because the writing for her would not be good.

The show is very good these days with the B&S scandal and the Dina mystery bringing so many characters back to life.

Law has always been something Y&R has done well so teaming Leslie and Michael in same firm could work. And yes they can be opposing counsel - it's GC so the characters will gladly sign a same-firm waiver.

John Silvia's character lasted for years as resident lawyer with very little focus on his personal life. Why couldn't the Leslie character do the same? Pairing her with Neil again would be a bust. OC there's always Jack, Billy and Scott....

Even with its flaws (Hilary's in/out involvement), hope they continue to extend the Juliet/Cane s/l because they are actual stakes involved for the characters - emotional and financial

Can't wait for Jill and, shockingly, Colin to get involved. The one thing missing is that Cane doesn't have a single friend (male or female) to lean-on, which exposes all the previous regimes and the lack of development beyond Lame. Meanwhile Lily has her whole family and a Jordan. It's too bad that the Abbotts have neglected Mamie and Olivia's family considering their so-called 'importance.' Ash/Lily would've been an interesting mentor type friendship.

    • That's so funny, that's how I listen to Montecito - while walking my dog. I'll have to check out Forever & a Day.
    • I need to listen! Forever & a Day was a fun soapy podcast to have available when I walked the dog.
    • A few years ago, Devon and Nick started a charity organization together, I think it's for housing in the community.
    • I’m hoping to start getting to know Vernon better this month. He’s really only been a bunch of noble and good tropes so far. I don’t want him to be taken down the way Ted has been, but it seems he was a long-running Senator and no matter what party you are, lasting longer than twenty years means you’re looking out for you (and not who you’re supposed to be looking out for) most of all. I want to get to know both Vernon and Anita beyond their Dupree posturing. Clifton Davis can sleepwalk handling the kind of material Christopher Bernau and David Lewis handled and I’d like to see more than just a saint.
    • I thought Emily/Hal was a really interesting pairing. And I think KMH played that version of Emily very well! It might not have been what people wanted from Emily, and the writing got pretty gross at the end, but I thought she embodied that character effectively.
    • Don't know if this exactly fits here, but it is connected: Does this abandoned building look familiar? It is one of those explorer videos - and the outside may look VERY familiar if one watched GH in the '70s and '80s!

    • So, I have been in the hospital all week. I am close to being up to date on my soaps. Now I have to go to the Infusion Ctr daily to get IV antibiotics, for 6 weeks. I am frankly exhausted. A hospital is no place to be when you're sick. Hooked up to machines that go beep beep beep all day & night long. Someone wakes you up every hour on the hour for something, either to stick you with needles or to take your gosh-awful blood pressure for the umpteenth time. So, you don't get any sleep. Now I have a central line, upper right chest. After they "installed" it, I said, I am now Borg. They just stared at me. Apparently scifi is not general knowledge. What happened? I have an infection inside my big toe right foot & it burned the skin on my foot. The burned skin is already better. It was like a bad sunburn. The infection inside the toe is the issue. Oral antibiotics won't even get its attention. So, IV antibiotics plus time.

As Salem bids farewell to John Black on Monday, the "Days" family and fans say a final goodbye to Drake Hogestyn.   From his time as a young man playing baseball in the minor leagues for the New York Yankees to his almost four-decade run as John Black, Drake always did his best. And, while becoming a soap opera icon, he spent almost 40 years at "Days" telling the best stories and taking the younger cast under his wing to make sure they would do their best as well. Thank you, Drake, for the legacy you have left for everyone at "Days." The impact you made on the cast, crew and fans will never be forgotten...and that's a fact.
    • I found an interview with Joseph Breen (Will Jeffries) where he mentions that Reva was put in a coma so Zimmer could go to Hollywood to do a pilot (OMG, if ONLY it had been picked up, LOL) and that Sonni and Josh and Will became a popular with the audience while she was out of commission.  If you want to read the whole thing: https://www.authorsden.com/visit/viewarticle.asp?id=47394 Breen was known for being very candid in interviews, I wish I could find more of them. I seem to recall he made a couple of snarky comments about Zimmer, implying she was not above acting like a diva. Sounded to me like he had a lot of respect for Forbes (who went on to have a very strong and varied career after GL).
    • I was so confused why Devon was prying into Nicks love life and then it clicked and I remembered they’re brother-in-laws. Shows how little I pay attention to this show anymore. I was like uh? Do these two even know each other this well?
