I think CK plays the part she's given very well. Her role at the moment is to play antagonist to Hilary. It'seems very well done IMO.

Anyways, just finished the show.

I am really loving Lauren's story. It seems fresh and new. Mainly because she's never has such a story (that I can recall) and I genuinely care about her success. She needs offices though. I did appreciate them explaining why she was at home. At least they know it's odd.

As I said before, one thing that Sally's doing that I love is turning the focus back onto women. She's making this a female centric show again. They are shown with careers even if they spend most the time talking about men. Lol.

Gloria is going to be the new manager of the GCAC. I can see that coming a mile away. It's a good fit for her.

Neil comforting and touching Hilary makes my skin crawl. The show really needs to stop. Especially since he alternates between being decent and dogging her out from scene to scene.

BJ did well as the critical patient. MiM looked beautiful without heavy make up and sold being tired and haggard. But SeC is a weak weak very weak link in the hospital drama. It's so noticeable. Especially in scenes with MiM.

I pretty much agree with all your points, except for the one about Sean Carrigan. I found his doctor act the past couple episodes to be solid and realistic. Great actor? No, but hardly worth complaining about. Honestly, I appreciate the fact that he's not phoning in those hospital scenes.

I do agree with you about CK. She's playing what's written very well, and I just don't get the hate for her that  I read on this board. I thought her crying scenes over Devon's bedside were good, too.

Umbrella story? LMAO at the idea that solves anything. GH's umbrella storyline-- whatever it is -- is as bad as the rest of the show. GH is a mess.

YR is NOT slow and it's NOT boring. Every scene is character-driven and has something important to say. This is all so good compared to the plot-driven mess we've been fed for years.

I guess Christel's playing Lily's role well but she's just a pain in the ass to watch. She's constantly focused on Hillary, for good reason, but it makes her look ridiculous. I'm glad some of you enjoy it, but I don't. I also still don't like the Hillary/Devon he doesn't remember angle. Just is what it is. Doesn't mean I won't enjoy the outcome or the journey there but I think it's lame. I know some of you love Hillary and stan them so it's easier to excuse but the writing needs work for all of them.

I love Lauren's story for the reasons listed above. It's about HER and you see her determination to save her father's company. You're being set up to feel her pain when it's ripped from her. I had to LOL at Gloria just opening her computer and butting in.

I like the trio of Chelsea, Chloe and Sharon. Sure they can be basically interchangable but it was hilarious watching Chloe warn Chelsea about Gloria and Jeffrey and Chelsea fearful of Jeffrey crashing on her couch, but Chloe said "Gloria has custody of Genoa City" ... LOL. I also like that they're supportive of each other and not catty when they easily could be.

I don't mind Victor's happiness. Why are you all complaining about it? Would you rather he go back to being a miserable [!@#$%^&*] who hires dopplegangers and manipulates everyone like a cartoon villain? Why would he have gotten on Reed's case? He was just happy to see his grandson ...

I didn't get to see Friday's episode yesterday except for the brief part where once again Billy inserts himself (but of course Reed called him to pick him up). Stop forcing this.

SeC sticks out like a sore thumb. And it's just as painful. You're right in that he's not phoning it in. And that makes his portrayal even more pitiful since it's so poor.

But I agree about the show. I'm not bored nor insulted. Enjoying it even. I rarely feel the urge to FF. Things are looking up.

I didnt say I enjoy it. I don't like how she's so focused on Hilary. But it doesn't make me dislike Lily. I see it as a writing fail, which I can excuse.

Agree about Lauren. This is how I know Jack will either not be succesful in his bid to take Fenmore's or Lauren will get her company back. I wonder if this is designed as some redemption story for Phyllis cause they obviously want me to hate Jack.

Victor, much like Neil, should have paid for his sins before getting happiness. Someone pointed out to me that only the women like Sharon and Hilary are losing and getting crapped on while the males are just magically better under Sally. I hadn't noticed that but it's true.

How's Sharon getting crapped on? Nick shades her but we all know that won't last, Nikki never liked her to begin with. Victor's the only one who remains nasty but not to her face. IDK. Sharon's 1000% benefited from the writing shift.

I think Hillary gets "crapped on" because it makes you want to root for her, or it's supposed to.

These characters need things to yearn for, and strive for, and they're getting that again.

I understand everyone's complaints about Victor but I just feel like it's for the best that they've moved on and are writing him as they are.
