Always could. There are probably fewer now than years ago. When I say I'd chuckle at the idea, I just mean I think it wouldn't suit some of the egos involved. I'm not saying it shouldn't happen. Given how much these soaps love baby stories, its the only reason I can think of that Summer or Noah haven't been given that story.

I have to wonder if Josh Morrow or Sharon Case have Eileen Fulton-like clauses in their contracts or maybe it's either Braeden or MTS. Even Phyllis has a granddaughter.

It's actually been a longtime , maybe even popular misconception that Jack will never have kids. Many long-term Y&R have long forgotten about Keemo, and even during Sharon's 2009 debacle some had already forgotten about Kyle due to the simple fact at that point both were severely minimized and never mentioned ever.

I can only assume MTS becoming a grandmother in real life put an end to that.

I thought that was the oddest thing. It worked for Cassie since she wasn't nikki's granddaughter when she met nikki. But for Noah to also do it seemed really strange. 

 

I agree that most of these stories being told for the 40ish crowd should now be passed on to the younger gen.

Kevin's asexual ass has as much chemistry with Mariah ....Nothing against Rikaart, but there is no spark at all.  Kevin should have been off canvas a while ago...or at least moved to a story with a man. He had sexual tension with Ignacio Sericchio, and good banter with Chris McKinney.

 

An actress as good as well as attractive as Tracey Bregman should have a storyline, even a B or C level Story...Where's Carmine when you need him???

 

Bumbling Esther in the coffeehouse makes me chuckle. I'm surprised she's not in love with Ian Ward yet. She always falls for the bad guys!

I love Ian but the show doesn't know how to write a good complex villain.   It always ends with Victor winning and giving some self serving speech about how righteous he is.  Ian was good with Phyllis today, very enjoyable. 

Luca is smoking hot.  Loved his scenes today. 

I wonder if the 'bad' sex between Kevin and Mariah was the gateway to Kevin starting to question his sexuality. Let's face it, GR would love that story and, honestly, I think he would do a gay storyline (or even a gay lust - like a bromance) quite well. I'd love for them to give him a chance because GR, like SC, has always played whatever garbage that he's been given without phoning it in. As far as CG, I hope they find a pairing that works - she is quite amazing and just seeing how she brings out the best in every screen partner - especially JM and EB, makes her worth keeping around.  And, frankly, Y&R could use more of a character actress on canvas, rather than "Snowflakes" or "Porntneys."
