GH: AMC actress joining show

Q I know you despise her and all but that's no excuse for not having your facts straight. She's been in 3 feature films since AMC, 2 of which are critically acclaimed & on the major festival circuit. CHECK HER OUT in "Lies I Told My Little Sister" and "Desires of the Heart" & repent thanks

There's also nothing wrong with participating in web series especially ones surrounding stars we all recognize in this community. And those are non-paying? Seriously, says who?

Well said!! lol

well I have to admit I don't follow her career, such as it is, and never heard of these little known films. I won't be checking her out in anything to be honest.

Carl, *snaps* while I wouldn't state it as strongly. She was like in the D-/F (Grading A-F) range in striking chemistry with others and that was due to a general hardness.

Somebody in here did a Lucci versus Budig comparison - noting ABCD had a hard on to make her the next Erica - that noted Budig didn't have Lucci's vulnerability or her comedic timing. No, no Budig IMO has good comedic timing. As I said earlier in the thread, "Greenlee" as played by RB was Erica IF Erica had almost no underlying softness (vulnerability) and almost no sex appeal (charisma, chemistry). The bitch part? Fine? The comedic timing? Fine.

Somebody in here said the fake pregnancy reveal did not work on AMC? It was better suited for DAYS. Uhm, blasphemy. The fake pregnancy is a staple of soap opera. Nearly every frame of that set of scenes on AMC still gives me chills...

She isn't just hard - she's dead inside. And chock full of raging anti-chemistry with most of her co-stars. Similar to many of their prize ponies, actually.

She's lucky that the level of acting is so low on this show that if she just shows up glaring and spitting out her lines, as she did for most of her AMC run, she will be seen as an improvement.

The only man I ever remember her having chemistry with was J. Eddie Peck. And that's in 15 years of acting.

Given her stint as Michelle Bauer on GL, she's closer to 20 years of acting than 15.

I'd have to agree with all of this. RB can do comedy, and she can do bitch with amazing skill. There's just nothing likable there. There was nothing about Greenlee that made me want to root for her. Did I outright hate her at times? Sure. Did I feel sorry for her? No, not really. It's hard to feel sorry for a character you dislike intensely. I will admit that the only times I've really and truly LIKED Greenlee were in fan fiction in which her hard edge was softened a bit and she was given the vulnerability to make her empathetic.

As for the new role on GH, of course the character is a "spitfire." I don't know that she has the range to play a sweet or sympathetic character.

What about when she played Michelle Bauer on GL?

She played a heroine when she was Michelle, but her work as Greenlee apparently overshadows that.

I wasn't really thinking of her Michelle run as she had less leading men, but yeah, nothing there either.

I did think she was OK with Brody Hutzler.

Budig sucked as Michelle IMHO. The best ones were Bethany Lenz and Rachel Miner

Budig as Michelle wss kind of blah it was her first role but Michelle was a really boring role. Budig plays a much better bitch then good girl. Nothing will ever top Budig and Duhmeal

I didn't mind Budig as Michelle. She was leaps and bounds better than Grandma St. Alban, who played Michelle like Bert or Meta, rather than as a young woman. I just ignored Michelle after she came on.At that point I liked Cassie/ Danny better than Manny.
