Maybe they shouldnt but they are. The show typically does not tend to have a strong teen set. Most of the "teens" end up getting paired up with older characters and get treated like 20 somethings. Rick, Bridget, Steffy, Phoebe, Hope, Thomas

But back to these characters, I dont feel the show should segregate them. Its only 30 minutes, There shouldnt be mix up and its not like theres some drastic difference between early 20s and mid/late 20s. The fact is Aly at 20/21 is dating Oliver who is late 20s. There has to be crossover by very nature of their relationship. If they didnt mix things up, we would have never gotten Caroline and Ridge, which has been the unexpected best thing in ages

Liam/Ivy/Wyatt/Hope is stale as month's old cheese left out to mold. The show needs to go in a different direction there and break them up as a quad and if that involves having the characters get involved in storylines with characters that may be older or younger than them, then so be it. They should not bring back Hope to go another round of this same thing. We need to finally move on from that

I don't disagree with you. I think they can easily mix the groups up, although too much of it comes across to me as a little icky. In a perfect world, there would be a couple more people in Aly & Nicole's goup and then Liam, Ivy, Wyatt, Hope and a couple more. It's not too much, it's manageable, even for a half hour show.

Age can be a very fluid thing although I was under the impression Aly was 17 maybe 18 when she debuted a little over a year ago. So it's one thing for her to be involved with Oliver as a sort of older/younger relationship and another for her to go from Oliver to Liam to Wyatt etc. Ew.

Agreed on Hope and her "adventures." That's the whole point I'm trying to make. The answer is not to throw Aly and Nicole into that group, but to bring in another character or two and really beef up Ivy. Having Wyatt put his hands all over Nicole just feels so, so disgusting to me. Again, she and Aly come off way too young for that.

I wasnt suggesting that Aly be paired up with Wyatt or Liam, which is why I said those two along with Ivy can have a seat (aka go on the backburner), while Aly and Oliver get some focus along with Nicole and a possible Zende return

I don't mind putting some time into Aly/Oliver again. I also like Wyatt and definitely don't want him in some dumbass triangle with Liam again. Perhaps he and Donna could give it a go?

I MEANT DONNA LMAO!

Oh! Ignore them altogether?

Yep, I'm good with that.

I don't think Charlie would like that...wink.png

and who is Charlie? That non-character can go away. I hated that the ended Pam and Stephen. Maybe with Dallas cancelled, they can bring back PD

Like, Rick is scary. I was afraid watching him, kudos to JY.

On another note, I see the show has decided we are supposed to root for Caroline, as every character has told us to do so.

This quad was fun when Rick/Maya/Caroline/Ridge were all painted in similar shades, but now we have every other character, even Katie, rooting for her. Hope did not fall down some stairs, to get off our screens for this laugh.pngwa

Yep and B/B is notorious for going way overboard with this...its obvious and annoying and hinders the drama for me. Aly (who has nothing else to do) and Ivy were going at it was so thick one day I just flipped the channel... couldn't take another minute of poor Caroline (who had/has a very strong attraction to Ridge) is such a victim... and Rick really loves her and is acting out blah blah

I got it I got; I don't need every character pimping Caroline as the wronged party who still wants to boink Ridge.

I don't see any issue with B&B having characters discuss Caroline's situation and taking her side.

It's not the same thing as the endless propping that other soaps do for characters like Daniel (DAYS), Franco (GH) or Dylan (Y&R).

In this case, Rick has acted in an overbearingly over the top way and has treated Caroline WORSE than dirt. So what if she still has a desire to boink Ridge? Rick was f-cking another woman, moved her into an apartment, tricked his father into giving him control of the company, embarrassed, yelled at, and humiliated Caroline at every turn, verbally abused her, moved his mistress into his father's house while kicking Caroline out of hers, tried to fire her and now has possibly shot her and/or Ridge. So I can see why characters will sort of be on Caroline's side... besides, a lot of them have expressed criticism over some of Caroline's actions, too and empathy towards Rick's feelings.

The 7000 episodes special was pretty enjoyable. I couldn't help but be a little disappointed--it felt rushed and like a lot was missing. The good stuff was showing the original auditions, all the truly insane fan events all over the world, and certainly a lot of Sally Spectra/Darlene Conley never hurts but I would have been more interested in a look at some of the major storylines, characters, themes, more "flashbacks" and less people telling us to stay tuned, etc. Still, I guess they wanted to keep it closer to current B&B and not bring up too much of 2003 and prior.

Also, no Taylor at all? Wow.

I also thought it was just ok. I appreciated the effort and the style of it, but...

They wanted to focus on the current characters/actors and I get it. The audience is MUCH younger than it used to be 5 years ago. Hence they skipped Stephanie for the most part and showed NOTHING of Taylor and Amber despite them being two of THE ost pivotal characters next to Brooke.

Steffy was married to a loser and sniffed after his loser father, it's not like her standards are high, Rick, Liam, Bill. lol Wyatt is a HUGE step up tongue.png

I agree and it seemed whenever Hope fell in "love" Steffy HAD to have the guy..She is a sick puppy!!!

Yeah I don't get the Steffy love, she was basically a skank, who had NO problem interfering in someone's relationship. Not saying Hope was perfect, but from what I've read about Steffy she's much worse.

BTW, I meant perhaps Wyatt and Donna could give it a go. It would give her something and someone to do :)

I say Quinn and Liam need to have some hate sex, RS and SC have some hot chemistry

whats changed bc you used to be so against this whenever i suggested it last year. I used to want i but I think the ship has sailed now. Whats the point with Hope gone? It should have been Quinn at the height of her crazy trying to seduce Liam in order to drive a wedge between them. It would seem anticlimatic and pointless to do it now especially with no motivation and I dont think its worth doing as just some random drunken ONS especially without the story there for context
