Victoria wasn't always a victim. If they let Gina play her they could change that, but as of now they do not want to.

To be honest I don't even think Gina could have played most of Heather Tom's Victoria - she wasn't hugely far off from the material Gina failed to succeed with on OLTL in the 90s.

I guess we'll never know, as I don't think Victoria will ever be written as anything but a baby-hungry victim ever again.

They could change that with Amelia playing her, but they don't want to.

Amelia celebrates 10 years at Y and R next year. Unless she decided to leave they won't fire her. If she leaves I could see a Victoria recast but it wouldn't be immediate.

Your photo worries me Juliajms. New nuAdam looks kind of emo. I hope that's not going to be his vibe.

It would help both Amelia, Nick and to a certain extent Victor if they played up the Newman family as a whole when Adam comes back. Not having the family as fragmented as it is now.

If Amelia left I truly believe the best Victoria recast would be Rebecca Budig. Budig would be the Victoria that all the Heather Tom fans Want. She would be a freaking spitfire.

I am not so sure about this one Mo. I don't know any show that has recasted just to go in a different direction. They may say that but there is always some BTS issue happening, either money or personality conflict, that is the real culprit.

I hear people say all the time they recast to take the character in another direction.

Told ya so, weeks ago!

And I didn't even watch her AMC with the love potion and Colleen Dion-Scotti playing a sh*tty psycho around 2001.
