August 29, 201411 yr Member With Ashley's return, the time is now for best friend and confidante Olivia to return! No no no no no no no no no no no. The time is not now. At least let someone escape the crap that is current Y&R! I will never understand why people wish good characters on bad soaps that will ruin them.
August 29, 201411 yr Member Well, after Jean and Shelley get fired then. They'll be replaced by someone even worse. Unless the Soap Gods work a miracle and Kay Alden unretires and comes back.
August 29, 201411 yr Member This show will never be more than what it is right now. Writing will never improve because no one willing to take the job knows anything about Y&R. With that said, if Olivia is to come back, this is as good a time as any. They should have brought her back the last time Ashley was on contract. But with all these doctors and the hospital being featured, we need at least one doctor that is core to be there IMO. Olivia.
August 29, 201411 yr Author Member ^^^^ Did she burn her bridges because she's black?? I see white actress, especially white actors I can speck their minds. & still be on the show. 2nd I said Dru, I didn't say VR. Hell no, It has nothing to do with race, but her attitude and that's all I'm saying on the subject

August 29, 201411 yr Member Kay's burned her bridges with Y&R. Say it isn't so! Is this because she was treated like crap after being there for decades or was she the problem?
August 29, 201411 yr Member Kay seems to be a strange situation, she only "retired" after Brad fired her at B&B. I don't believe she graciously retired from the industry, but was forced out.

I recognize that CBS and Sony wanted the show to move in a different direction. But I didn't know things were that bad. Edited August 30, 201411 yr by Khan
August 30, 201411 yr Member I know Kay didn't willingly retire, but Bradley didn't renew her contract option at B&B. No idea if anything went down between them, but I think it was mutual and Brad thinking she was expendable as he had Michael Minnis, who was technically more so his Co-HW than Alden was (she had more of an editing role).
August 30, 201411 yr Member He was always one of the best looking men on soaps, and probably the best male body. It was insane who they recast him with.
