June 16, 201411 yr Member Jonnysbro, I like your enthusiasm and positive comments, but sometimes you're just so over-the-top I can't take it. Your praise for RC is just over-the-top. He revitalized daytime drama? Uh....no. Enthusiasm sounds so sweet and genuine. Jonny isn't.
June 16, 201411 yr Member Dena Higley was so bad for OLTL. No comparison. She stunk up the joint as Ron has revitalized daytime drama. This August he is celebrating seven years as a head writer. That's a long run for someone getting promoted. Tell me someone in the last 10 years like Ron who got promoted from a writing team to head writer to win an Emmy and have this kind of buzz and longevity. Nobody has done it in the last 10 years. Frank Valntini on OLTL Susie Horgan on OLTL from writer to EP then Co-HW Ginger Smith from Intern to producer, supervising producer than EP on AMC Edited June 16, 201411 yr by John
June 16, 201411 yr Member Ron has not revitalized daytime drama. If nothing else, moRon has totally lived up to the name ReRon. Rick is telling AJ and FrankenTodd's "story" again and both took place just this year. I guess you have to stunt cast when you totally suck.
June 16, 201411 yr Member when did he give Lucas that profession? I dont recall Lucas' career stated once since he returned and Ive questioned that as he's done nothing in PC except be thirsty for Brad They stated that he was a nurse while he lived in Seattle. I think Bobbie mentioned it.
June 16, 201411 yr Member Rc is clearly only capable to tell at most 5 or 6 storylines which he keeps repeating without even enough creativity to make those story appear different. Soaps have been on the air for over half a century so recycled plots are bound to happen but within weeks or months of each other is over doing it. Back when I started watching Claire LaBine was at the helm and while most of her stuff was classic soap plots she always managed to put a creative spin on it that helped us tell storylines apart. RC is just resorting to the same old bag of tricks. The direction the FauxLuke storyline is going is just more proof of that.
June 16, 201411 yr Member OMG I just went on Ron's twitter and he LITERALLY forgot Lucas was a medical professional and a fan had to remind him. I just cannot.
June 16, 201411 yr Member Bobbie mentionned that Lucas' job was in the medical field but was conveniently vague about it. It was around the time she got back together with Noah if i am not mistaken They stated that he was a nurse while he lived in Seattle. I think Bobbie mentioned it. Alexander @aldum1276 Jun 11 @carlivatiron Isn't Lucas suppose to be a medical professional? User Actions Follow Ron CarlivatiVerified account@carlivatiron @aldum1276 Says who? G. Rayner @grayner Jun 11 @carlivatiron @aldum1276 Bobbie mentioned he was a doctor a while back. Same ep where she said he should find right guy and get married Crickets... OMG I just went on Ron's twitter and he LITERALLY forgot Lucas was a medical professional and a fan had to remind him. I just cannot. lol
June 16, 201411 yr Member LMAO. I'm sure he'll have an excuse. Why does he have to be so pissy? "Says who?" I can't stand this man. Edited June 16, 201411 yr by KMan101

Use the imagination, but let's not repeat "stories" done in the past few months.
June 16, 201411 yr Member Very true. He just keeps repeating the same stories, just with a spin on it and different characters. He's a very transparent writer. He plays beats only when he HAS to. He has characters interact only if it matters to what he's trying to push at the moment.

They believe something exciting is happening daily when its just repeated junk with no real depth.
