Sure, but you notice that there's rarely talk like, "Oh boy, Marc Samuels is on fire." Certain people just suck 99% of the time. Some things can change that to a point, but often a bad and uncharismatic actor remains that way. There's a reason why so many soap writers, and soap fans, now just pit characters against each other. For instance, once Kelly Thiebaud started doing a poor, lackluster job with most of her material, fan focus and writing focus turned to how she was good because she wasn't Liz or Lulu. So it was a distraction from her own limited abilities.

I think there were better examples to use to prove your point than KT but i admit that some actor will never be able to make everything writers throw their way worth watching.

But then again no matter how much i love Jane Elliott even she cant sell Tracy being a total morron in the Fluke non-sense so even the best cant polish a turd.

And the day i hear the words Marc samuel and on fire will be the day i will deem the world hopeless.

AFAIK, half the cast is recurring. That's part of it.

You're correct, about half the cast is recurring, primarily the expensive vets. But I feel like Felicia, Scott, Lucy, Kevin, Bobbie, and Monica are still used decently. It's not like they're complete props, they still have some semblance of storylines despite limited airtime.

I'm sure he was. Just as I'm sure he was crying at the end of "Yentl."

Now wait a minute. The end of "Yentl" WAS worth a cry!

KT does a fantastic job with her material pretty well almost all the time, IMO. I definitely don't think her abilities are limited. She and Bryan Craig were some of the better casting decisions that GH has made in a while.

Respectfully disagreed. Except when they come on every two weeks to say hi to a family member, their individual stories are all told offscreen.

I agree smirks but I admit that Britta as the goth soccer mom was material KT couldnt deliver.

Well yeah--appropriate casting is necessary

Yep!

Yep. Monica's NEVER on. Felicia's getting to be just as bad about not being on. Bobbie, Lucy, Scotty and Kevin pop up every couple of weeks, if we're lucky. They're just filler, even if they're given scraps of a storyline. I'm glad they're used at all, believe me, but used well? I respectfully disagree as well.

Nah. She puts me to sleep four days out of five.

Well, to be fair, a lot of characters have storylines off screen on the show. But I know what you mean.

Based on what's taping now, I think you guys are gonna start wishing the vets and their story had stayed offscreen. Just saying.

Well If I read between the lines there correctly then thats another reason RC needs his ass fired NOW!!!
