I just realized (IMO) that Quinn reminds me a lot of Rebecca Hotchkiss from Passions......that scheming conniving somewhat psychotic power hungry woman who did all these terrible things and always downplayed everything she did......She's also pushing Wyatt with Hope like Rebecca pushed Gwen with Ethan.

The whole show kind of has more of a Passions vibe these days to me.....I'm not saying that like a bad thing cause I haven't enjoyed B&B as much as I am right now, but just those little quirky moments that give me that slight feeling of nostalgia from something similar i probably saw on Passions.

B&B always spoils me when it does more than 1 storyline per episode :D Ridge's fall, Hope/Wyatt/Liam and Oliver/Aly stories in three episodes in a row? Too much, Brad, too much

They played one of my favorite classic cues during the scene where Wyatt told Quinn he wanted nothing to do with her. I love that Quinn, usually so nonchalant and uncaring, was in tears when her son kicked her out of his life. The scene later where Quinn is crying outside the office door and ran into Aly, who went on and on without realizing Quinn was crying, delivering a great line ("Wyatt is a loser, just like his mommy"), shot so beautifully in such classic, melodramatic soap fashion, was straight out of Bell Sr.'s classic years. No wonder, the script was written by Y&R scribe Rex M. Best. Just really, really beautiful, dramatic, resonant.

Whatever they have going on with Oliver's ambiguous intentions/thoughts/feelings WORKS. Hope Bell doesn't drop this instantly.

Playing catch-up on B&B and it's been a good week minus the Hope/Liam crud. Those two together makes me wanna stab my eyelids shut.

Oh I hate how these b*tches are coming for my Queen Quinn! I cannot wait until she and Deacon join forces and wreck shop! And can they hurry up and bring on Ivy. I need her to come lift Wyatt's spirits up seeing as Hope is being a dumb broad and getting back with the same man that constantly kept dropping her for Steffy. I cannot wait until the time comes when Wyatt and Liam throw Hope them deuces and she has egg on her face. And Aly.... How dare that heifer insult my Quinn! Oh I cannot wait for Oliver to break her damn heart.

I thought Friday's episode was fine, and I'm looking forward to seeing Deacon and Quinn on screen together. Quinn is a big reason to turn in every time she's on, and thankfully she's been getting a lot of airtime.

I agree, even though sometimes I cringe at the very soapy dialogue. Ridge is the "pride and joy" ... oh Liam ... sigh. He was SO annoying the entire first week of June. I'm just now on this past week. My God Liam SHUT THE !@#$%^&*] UP. LOL

I loved it when Wyatt decked his ass.

The only reason I even still read about this show is waiting to find out where Quinn is going. My Katie/Ridge hopes are gone. I can never cheer Brooke on again, and I can't stomach Bill, Liam, or Hope any more, either. I hope Deacon and Quinn end up owning L.A. (and possibly put Bill in jail for his actions in breaking Deacon out of jail via blackmail).

Watching old clips of Brooke and Bill sneaking around. The writers don't bother changing Brooke's dialogue. Some man married to her daughter, sister, ect. comes to her when she's down and something inappropriate happens, and it's not just sex, it becomes love. I can't believe how the writers have destroyed Brooke. It's time for Katie and Quinn to step up and try to salvage what's left of this show - as long as the writers don't destroy them, too.

I admit, I'm kind of dying to know what Ridge has been through since he got baptized in the Persian Gulf. Haven't seen today's episode yet. I feel like a couple of years from now we'll be introduced to the love child he made with a mermaid-like local who nursed him to health.

Rolling my eyes at all these people acting like they are ecstatic about Ridge being alive when they know damn well they don't give a damn

Speaking of eye rolling, can Quenchie do something about hers? She is coming across very ugly with all them dirty looks she keeps giving

I wish they would just spit it out about what's really going on with Ridge.....but then again that's what makes B&B classic soap!

I admit this would be kind of funny, but I will roll my eyes if Ridge says he only remembers Taylor as his true love....

I don't like Quinn but I've always liked Rena and how she plays her its been a very long time a soap has me in a love to hate mode w/ a character that reminds me of the good ole' days...

can't stand Hope and how the show fawns over her so I don't care who she winds up with she's just a self absorbed twit IMO. I knew as soon as Ridge fell out the plane what would happen he'd only remember Brooke and the anvils are well planted. Bye Bye Katey I don't remember you.

I don't mind Deacon/Quinn teaming up for some good soapy...soap but why his first scene is with Mommy Dearest. Enjoyed his scenes with Hope he made her tolerable.

I'm just hoping his heart wrenched convo with his daughter holds up and he doesn't plot with Quinn that can mess it all up. Always enjoyed Oliver from day 1 even when he got stuck with Hope and then her mommy smashing him storyline; Glad he's got a storyline even if its with Aly! For a minute, I thought Oliver had a thing for Maya at one point then it was suddenly dropped...didn't he kiss her?

Poor Maya she's got a busybody storyline. Well at least its something

    • Yeah, not sure why Jack and Jen didn’t rush to Marlena - or even Carrie - to offer their condolences. A few flashbacks would've been a nice touch too. Instead, we got a whole episode of them talking about Chad and Abby? Come on. On the bright side, I loved Anna’s scenes with Marlena and Carrie - sweet and heartfelt, felt like a real 80s throwback.
    • Martin and Smitty were designed to avoid the stereotype of gay men sleeping around (which to an extent is true). If you recall Martin had a line about them not being open when Chelsea came to talk to him. The producers are walking a very fine line right now and it might not be popular to say but I can understand it. Establishing enough footing to ward off complaints will let them showcase gay characters more openly later.
    • The week was decent. They have started to rotate their stories and finally got a rhythm going. I disagree about them allowing every character to have a moment to shine though. Nicole really hasn't been given anything to do. I completely agree with all this. I adore Doug and hope he makes it through.

    • There was the one appearance in '96, but otherwise, that's correct as far as I know.

Question for the B&B group: I see @rsclassicfanforever has uploaded multiple seasons from Videoland  (in the folders that are to be put away). They are huge folders and difficult to download so I started breaking them down into months but I realized they are by season so for example, Season 4 spans from March 1990 to March 1991. Now I'm wondering where to actually place them, since we have the Full Episodes section divided by year, not seasons. And most of these seasons we already have in full, so these are duplicates. Not sure if it's necessary to keep the older versions. I could just make another new section for Seasons, so the main folders would be "Behind the Scenes and Interviews," "Clips," "Full Episodes," "Full Seasons," "Music CDs," and "photo archive Marquise" but I'm not sure that really makes sense. Also wondering since we have almost every full episode now if "Clips" can be deleted in its entirety, as it's nearly 300GB.
    • CBS moving Murder, She Wrote from Sunday to Thursday was straight up sabotage. Les Moonves knew exactly what he was doing.
    • I sure hope you’re right. The lack of sets is maddening!
