June 1, 201411 yr Member That's actually kind of patronizing, but I know you didn't mean it that way. I seriously gagged when I heard the news DT was going to play Billy. I was shocked myself when I found some enjoyment in select scenes. So no. I don't think I just got used to him. I think he was well placed in Chloe's story and works very well with MCE. But if Adam is returning, I don't see DT's Billy as any challenge to Adam. I hate Victoria but accept that she isn't going anywhere, nor is AH. So assuming the recast recast is stronger I think it was probably the right decision. I'm kind of wondering if he (nuBilly) was originally intended to be nuAdam. And other circumstances BTS factored into the decision. I apologize. I didn't mean it that way.
June 1, 201411 yr Member I think DT is cute. He has a better looking face than BM. But his body? Thumbs down.
June 1, 201411 yr Author Member Rubbish? Can't just say you disagree, huh? You gotta call someone else's opinion "rubbish" even when they've tried and tried to express a cogent point of view...? Well, that is indicative of something other than just disagreeing so thanks for the rather demonstrative post. You can go suck your thumb, I said IN MY OPINION.
June 1, 201411 yr Member It's not about attractiveness. It's about how their expressions of angst demonstrate different levels of maturity. I find them equally immature in actions. Facial expression do not signify.
June 1, 201411 yr Author Member Billy isn't even a very mature character. I think both actors have shown him as the screw up they present him as and when he needs to be serious he is, but the character is inherently child-like and immature.
June 1, 201411 yr Member and I can see him as Billy and as Adam. But I am confused about their ages though. Isn't Adam supposed to be younger than Nick? How old should Adam and Billy be today? perhaps this is why Y&R seems to be trying to set up some sort of Chelsea/Billy/Victoria triangle? Because Adam will return w/ Billy's face? Maybe, that's also why Y&R dumped the doppelganger Lily SL like many on here speculate? ugh. I actually think this is gonna happen. Y&R will be thinking they are super-edgy pushing the potential incest factor, and it's Billy vs. Victor will replace Adam vs. Victor... mess.
June 1, 201411 yr Member I think DT is cute. He has a better looking face than BM. But his body? Thumbs down. That's all just his appearance is a problem?
June 1, 201411 yr Member That's all just his appearance is a problem? That was in direct response to someone posting a picture of BM and DT together trying to prove something...maybe that BM was better looking.
June 1, 201411 yr Member The issue I have is that YR had DT audition for Billy again before he was given the role again. So the brass at YR saw what DT looked like and they would have seen if he was what they considered to be overweight or two young. I call bull to the [!@#$%^&*] on that As for Burgess Jenkins, he has claimed he didnt have to audition for Billy. YR just asked him to do it. What the !@#$%^&*] is wrong with YR Burgess may be a good actor however he doesnt have daytime experience. He works in film & Primetime where they shoot max three pages a day, not 50 and Daytime only does one take per scene Did anyone wonder if Burgess can ghandle the pace. I mean other Primetime actors like, Joan Van Ark & Joan Collins couldnt Will Burgess fail because of the pace? Did YR even think about that? What a !@#$%^&*] mess
June 1, 201411 yr Member Frankly, John, I'd have to agree. Neither TPTB nor the Billy/Victoria fans will be satisfied so long as BM remains off the show. But BM chemistry with AH was dry. I don't know what Billy & Victoria fans seen in them but their hatred for Chloe character. Edited June 1, 201411 yr by MoTheGreat

June 1, 201411 yr Member Thanks for sharing. Are you referring to the reasons why I (and many others) liked BM and BM's Villy (which were dismissed by people who thought their differing opinions were fact) or my reasons for agreeing with the firing of DT in the role of Billy? (See your own comments about that below)You can always re-watch the episodes for clarfication, remembering also that DT was fired...for a reason, of which no one has stated here that they believe was because of CM's Kelly. I haven't posted anything (and I wouldn't) that can't be backed up by the actual episodes. Emphasis (bolding) : Mine. Lol. Viewing the episodes isn't going to establish the "facts". Each individual is going to subjectively view those episodes and form their own opinions and no opinion is factual. Nor does copying and pasting prior posts of mine showing we have shared opinions on occasion establish those opinions as fact. I don't necessarily disagree with your opinions expressed here. But they aren't facts.
June 1, 201411 yr Member I apologize. I didn't mean it that way. No apology necessary. I said I knew you didn't mean it that way. We're good. It's still weird, but good. Lol.
June 1, 201411 yr Member I can't find the post but someone speculated that perhaps Burgess Jenkins was tapped to be Adam and then TPTB changed their minds when they needed to recast Billy, and tapped BJ for that role instead. If so, this could be another knee-jerk reaction - making it a huge mistake, like I believe the Cady McClain recast of Kelly to be. I watched this video of BJ on You Tube and I can see him as Billy and as Adam. But I am confused about their ages though. Isn't Adam supposed to be younger than Nick? How old should Adam and Billy be today? Does Billy typically have such a pronounced accent? I respect that this guy did so many different kind of roles, but it seems like every character he plays has a thick accent.
